Mercury Conjunct Saturn: A Lasting Effect

Today we find Mercury orbiting into an exact conjunction with Saturn, deep in the brooding depths of Scorpio. This means that thoughts go more slowly and with greater long-lasting effect. You might have to try harder to get something accomplished. Weighty or sobering issues of lasting importance could come up today, and if so, it might be a good idea to attend to them with an air of personal responsibility. This is a good day to discuss something you may have been putting off, or to make a decision around something that requires clear and direct communication with another, be it a family member, business partner, friend or mate. Mental energies will shift later on in the week, when Mercury enters the more carefree realms of Sagittarius on Thursday, so that a lighter mood will prevail. Saturn himself crosses into Sagittarius in about a month, in the days leading up to Christmas. Back to the present, it is important to note that choices that you make on these next two days will likely have a stabilizing and lasting effect, particularly when made in clarity and depth of intention.
