Aquarius Horoscope (January 20 - February 18)
Fixed Air. Your ruling planets are Uranus and Saturn.

This is a time for deep reflection, Aquarius. You are seriously weighing your options and counting up the cost for each step forward as you enter the New Year. It's a time of looking ahead and also behind you, more so right now than ever. Although you are definitely on your way to new adventure, you are also somewhat stuck in the very midst of your transformation, like a turtle marooned on a rock. Beginning with an exciting January 25th Solar Eclipse in your sign, and on into February everything suddenly frees up and lurches forward. What's past is prologue.

As the month begins, you are feeling the energy of the late December New Moon in your sector of dream imagination. This is a very internal time of the year for you, when you are more at home within your inner world than cruising around in the outer one. Relationships have taken on a mystical tone and home and family concerns also. You are tuning in to the underlying Source of all, everywhere you look, and as a result your vision might be a trifle blurry with respect to everyday affairs. Your finances are also somewhat less grounded than you would like them to be, although they still provide a major focus for you at this time. You might feel as though an elephant has been sitting on you and your lemonade stand but it could also be an illusion. What is money after all but a game with paper counters and illusory goals? At the time of the First Quarter Moon of Sunday, January 4th, and the days following, there is a certain degree of tension in your process of growth and awareness but also a powerful degree of optimism conferred by the entrance of Jupiter into your sign. This year-long transit will ensure that all of 2009 will be one of the better ones for you. You are feeling your oats at this time but also getting the benefit of a more sober-minded approach that will serve you well in these troubled times. With the Full Moon of the following weekend, coming along on Saturday, January 10th, you are definitely seeking your salvation through balancing alternatives. You are making the most of the lessons learned through acts of responsibility rather than imaginative brilliance, although both have their place. The Mercury retrograde period that follows, lasting well into February, will be a time to draw in your bridges and defend your moat rather than forge ahead with new possibilities. On the other hand, you will be mightily tempted to leap forward, especially from the 19th onward, when the Sun enters your sign and conjuncts expansive Jupiter there. A week later, with the powerful New Moon and Solar Eclipse in your sign of the 25th and 26th, you will be positively glowing with ideas for new adventures. You must realize however that their outcome will be uncertain until at least the end of the month has passed. It is perhaps better to make and revise your plans while waiting on the execution until after the retrograde has passed in mid-February. After that point there will be smoother sailing.
