Aquarius Horoscope (January 20 - February 18)
Fixed Air. Your ruling planets are Uranus and Saturn.

This is a wild and crazy month for you, Aquarius, continuing a series. This time, your wheelhouse revamped and your ship of state fully engaged, you are getting ready to sail off in some brand new directions. Be careful what you wish for at this time because you just might get it. You are also receiving some unclear signals from your deep inner spaces and you must bend your ear to hear them or miss something vital. Especially the second half of the month, and into the New Year, you might find yourself slipping into a trance state. You are seeking enlightenment in the strangest of places and finding it. As you swim through the unknown waters of this month and the next, it might pay to remember that it is always darkest before the dawn.

As the month begins, you are struggling for balance amidst new perspectives that surround you and as private and public concerns threaten to become intermixed. Philosophical debates are running through your head as you go about your daily rounds, and your work in the world is one subject of your investigation. You are happy to be doing what you are doing right now, and in many ways just going along successfully, and yet there is an undercurrent of psychological reality that is far different than surface concerns. This seems to present an alternative to the everyday world and even to intrude upon it. Your deep unconscious process has been on your mind lately and occupies a kind of shadowy realm that is barely beyond your mental reach. These energies are reflected by the planetary archetypes by Neptune and Chiron, which have been extremely active lately and which are cropping up in your identity sector. Uranus is highly activated in your resources sector as well, which forms the basis for your physical security. There have likely been fluctuations in your financial and other resources lately, many of them positive, but in all cases a bit destabilizing, perhaps because it is hard to pin down what the final result will be. If you put your faith strictly in monetary terms you are feeling somewhat insecure lately, so that there is guidance coming to you that if you lift your gaze to the broadest possible picture of what makes for security in your world you will come out on top. It might not be strictly material concerns that drive you after all, in the simplistic way that consensus thinking and early conditioning dictates. The New Moon of Sunday, December 5th, brings fresh energy to your process of inquiry and specifically creates in you the power to move yourself off of home base and into play. The New Moon energy kicks off another four-week cycle taking place in your sector of goals and future plans, so that anything that you sincerely wish for during the first week of this time period has a good chance of coming to pass. You are lusting for solid answers to the life questions that you bring to this juncture, but there is also a fuzziness now that pervades your thinking, and a magical reality that surrounds you, that defies rational commonsense thought process. You will be thrown back on your faith in the benevolence of the universe to sustain you, difficult as that might be for your purely logical mind to accept. With the First Quarter Moon of Monday, December 13th, a somewhat dicey phase is reached, when Mercury has also been retrograde for the past three days, driving you further into internal spaces behind and beyond your more normal conscious mind. The retrograde period extends right through to the end of the month, and even longer when you count the period of the retrograde shadow that lasts until mid-January. This Moon phase is one of tension and conflicted feelings, when different agendas in your life might seem as thought thy were at odds with each other, and when you might feel angry about something that is taking place at a rather deep internal level. You have no easy way to express this anger. Things become a little less conflicted a week later at the time of the Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse and Winter Solstice, on Tuesday, December 21st. This is a time of balance, when inner and outer concerns have the chance to flow more naturally into one another and when powerful spiritual intuition arises that could inform future choices. When the Sun enters your sign on the 20th of January, you more fully enter into the New Year. This will represent a radically different stage of your existence so that you will hardly recognize last year's model.
