Aries Horoscope (March 21 - April 19)
Cardinal Fire. Your ruling planet is Mars.

This is a thoughtful month for you, Aries, a time of increasing awareness, and you do well to acknowledge it. There is a time for everything, and right now, during the retrograde of Mercury in your sector of higher mind, your focus is on furthering your understanding of the events of your life rather than the events themselves. Powerful mental and psychic tools are available for this task; your intuition is strong right now, perhaps even stronger than you know, and so also is the subtle awareness of both your strengths and your potential shortcomings. �Don�t push the river� is the standard advice for this period of time, rather let the river push itself. And, we would add, do your best to attempt to see the broader outline of its movement.

As the month begins, you are riding the wave of the New Moon eclipse plus Mercury retrograde in your house of higher mind. This adds up to a meditative and reflective period when you will be mulling over the events of your life and seeking to discover the deeper meaning. All this is conditioned too by the opposition of your ruler Mars to Neptune and Chiron on the cusp of your sector of inner work and dream imagination, a transitional position that stems from about the middle of last month and takes you toward the inside as you try figuring things out. It is sometimes stated that human consciousness is like unto the iceberg, with nine tenths below the surface and seldom seen, and you have lately been participating in this unseen and largely unknown part of your existence with greater energy than you apply to the more superficial portions of your psyche. The First Quarter Moon comes along late on Thursday the 1st and early on Friday the 2nd of December, and there is a juncture here of increased tension, which can be creative tension. These ideas are lurking somewhere in your mind, perhaps percolating below the surface. You are subject at this time to the notion that you can do more to become aware of your depths; undercurrents of emotion that can rule your life and your relationships from below, as it were. You desire to get a better handle on these subtle emotional signals that yet profoundly influence you. With the Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse of Saturday, December 10th, you are still slowed down, enmired to an unusual degree in contemplation rather than in action. It has become increasingly important to align your head and your heart in pursuing a complex set of goals as you attempt to understand where exactly you are heading. Your communication reflects this slow and deliberate approach that you are currently cultivating, and yet is more important than ever. Sharing points of view with others around you is one key to working yourself through this period of time. You are struggling to redefine what it is you do in a big picture sense and how directly this work aligns with your sense of higher purpose and for a larger vision of where your life is currently leading you. The Last Quarter Moon of Saturday, December 17th, heralds a time of reassessment and further contemplation. Mercury is direct now but still wobbly while regaining its lost zodiacal longitude, and so contributes as well to a more introspective stance. The end result of all this evaluation might in fact be important progress in how you see yourself and your part in the evolution of the world around you.
