Partnership is powerful for you right now, Cancer, no two ways about that. Your friends and significant others are all about helping you to get the ride of your life from that wave you've been surfing lately. Communication is slowed down and fully practical for you right now, performed mainly for the results that it brings you, no time for anything else. But somewhere in another part of your non-physical anatomy you are reaching for the stars. This is about others, in a sense, but also reflects back to you, and your process, more fully integrated now than ever.

As the month begins, you are still feeling the burst of energy that you received during the last weekend of the old year from the December 27th New Moon in your relationship sector. You are strong on partnership at this time, and on intimate connection with others, which at times seems like the answer for you. Simultaneously, you are learning to discriminate self from other in a different way. All through these last few weeks the recognition has been dawning of a new way to connect in tribal unity and with boundary-orientation that may seem revolutionary to the more traditional parts of your personality, but which hold the key to a glorious expansion of your most basic sense of self. When you turn it around until it fits, all things are possible, although until that time there will be mysteries to contend with. You are particularly concerned over this current period with a tendency to emphasize and idealize both your own deep interior spaces and the potential partners in your life who epitomize this energy for you. The First Quarter Moon of Sunday, January 4th, may bring a certain tension to the mix of personal and impersonal energy that surrounds you, and may in that way serve to clarify some of these issues. With the Full Moon of Saturday, January 10th, and the days that follow, you are discerning and discriminating more completely than ever, and seeking the combination of all that you have known into the synthesis of a novel solution. The Mercury retrograde period that takes up the last three weeks of the month will represent a time of reflection and re-integration, and will also be a great time for journaling your thoughts and mental meanderings. Putting your emotions down in words can be helpful, even when the stream is muddy and the thoughts convoluted. When the Solar Eclipse of January 25th and 26th comes along, it dawns upon a different and more powerfully imagined world.
