You are feeling your way into a new phase, Cancer. This involves a sincere revision of the way in which the unseen world inside your heart interacts with the rest of your life. You are future-oriented right now, especially over the first week of May, and definitely taking Spirit to be a necessary component for your journey of self-discovery. Your wishes are powerful, and you are manifesting your social connection anew with each one of them. You are also involved up to your eyebrows in better understanding the your relationship dynamic with others. The remainder of the month might be seen as a long meditation on all your possibilities and how they play out in the bigger picture of your life at large as you gracefully reinvent yourself.

As the month begins, you are riding the wave of transforming energy from the previous New Moon in your sector of societal involvement. You are feeling the process of benevolent transformation sweeping through your life; the time has come to make a change and the only question is how far you dare to go. In your search for greater meaning and more profound participation, it is of course best not to totally abandon previous foundations, if that is even possible. Instead you must be prepared to integrate the best part of what has gone before as you move forward. The First Quarter Moon that kicks off the first weekend of the month, on Friday, May 1st, represents a time of reassessment. You are energized in the direction of greater and more spiritual involvement with social groups that you favor, and greater intimacy with those closest to you as well, but there is also a hesitation to entirely let the barriers down that block you from achievement. In order to take advantage of the opportunities present to you right now you must be brave. If you manage to follow your fear and explore it, in order to see where it might lead you, you could be surprised at the outcome. With the Full Moon of Friday, May 8th, you may be ready to commit yourself more fully. No doubt there are difficult changes that you are making at this time, both with regard to important relationships in your life and within your own soul. This is a time of the flowering of potential positive impulse and also a time of realization of the great changes thrust upon you right now. The Last Quarter Moon of the following weekend, taking place late evening and early morning on Saturday and Sunday, May 16th and 17th, represents another crux of change, when you might find some degree of tension in your process that inhibits smooth sailing and also when you are coming to a form of wisdom surrounding the transformation that you are currently in the midst of. The New Moon of the following weekend, taking place on Sunday, May 24th, and the days following, represent another reminder of the tides of change that are sweeping over you and around you at this time. With Mercury retrograde almost this entire month, this current cycle represents also an excellent time to take stock and see what you have accomplished thus far and assess how much distance remains unconquered. It is a long haul from point A to point B but it is well said that the journey of one thousand miles begins with a single step.
