This is yet another magical month for you, Cancer. In one way it is business as usual on our beleaguered planet, full of wonder as well as hardship, and yet in another way it is more than time for a change. The transformation that you are being asked to surrender to involves others as well as yourself. Although your evolving identity is definitely shaped by significant persons in your life, it is equally true that it derives in part from the process in which you are currently engaged of slowly decoding your personal DNA, and of perceiving how you can conceivably mesh with the cogs of society to enable a big-picture viewpoint of all your possibilities. You have been waiting for your ship to come in long enough. Once you see things fresh, there is no going back.

As the month begins, you are dealing with issues of self and other, exploring where you stop and another begins. Of course, in this regard maintaining good boundaries is extremely important, and there are lessons around this issue that will come to you over the course of this month's development. You are in a good place these days with respect to friends and family, and operating in an essentially idealistic mode, as you have for weeks now. The Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse that comes along on Wednesday, August 5th, taking place in your sector of intimacy and personal transformation, is an especially powerful one that will provide much food for thought. Your communication with others is full of energy, but of a more sober and serious variety than usual. You might even feel a bit shut down. It's a good time to journal or just to reflect on where you are headed with your life right now. There is a spiritual component to all that you say and do at this time and you do well to pay careful attention to it. It's also true that the energy that you have for others is changing in some subtle ways that are difficult to chart. You are transforming at the core of your being and it helps just to recognize this simple but inescapable reality. The Last Quarter Moon of Thursday, August 13th, might provide you with more grist for your mill. This is a time when you are celebrating how far you have come as you feel your freedom and simultaneously acknowledging how far you still have to go in order to get where you really want to be. The practical limitations of your situation become very evident but this need not be a cause for concern, since a realistic appraisal of the current state of your resources will be a good basis for continued growth. The New Moon a week later on, taking place on Thursday, August 20th, is another powerful point in time when you might be able to see your way clear to further adventures in intimacy, and when your own unique point of view is more powerful than ever. You are coming from a totally idealized place right now, especially with regard to others in your life, and it is important that you pad out these feelings with a healthy does of skepticism as a counterbalance. Still you might feel as if you could move mountains right now, and that is a great place to be.
