This is a wild and crazy time for you, Cancer, but also one that engenders growth. You are virtually seething with ideas, and naturally not all of them will be productive; the task lies in choosing what parts of yourself to actualize, exactly where to depart from business as usual and voyage into the creative and featureless unknown. The July 11th eclipse in your sign signals that this second weekend of the month is fraught with risk and opportunity. As you believe in your powers and follow through with courageous intention, the universe honors you as well, enabling you to strike the blow that releases the manacles of stultified habitual patterns. In the process, you are forging a new relationship to the divine and with everyone around you as well.

As the month begins, you are settling into the insights that have emerged out of the intense period from the end of last month focalized and highlighted by the Full Moon eclipse of June 26th in your opposite sign. This was a time when you were meeting, first-hand, the archetype of the Other, a numinous and spiritual experience that is only partially catalyzed by the presence of actual significant others in your life. You are continuing this exploration into the present timeframe. You are also facing your own transformation head-on, the death of one part of your existence, even as you prepare the way for new beginnings to emerge. Your work in the world is changing in unexpected ways that you might begin to suspect were connected with the powerful tides of late spring and summer that are sweeping over you throughout this climactic time period. Having chosen to receive, you cannot even imagine dropping this ball, and instead you must run with it. The Last Quarter Moon of Sunday, July 4th, brings up the exceptions to progress as well as reflections on the more positive side. You are seeing perhaps most clearly the drawbacks in what you are attempting to accomplish, and yet they represent important information for you, grist for the mill of your transformation. It helps to remember that in facing partnership and societal connection, you face self. The New Moon and Solar Eclipse of the following weekend, taking place on Sunday, July 11th, gives you loads of fresh energy for your quest for growth. You are likely to encounter both the impetus for novel ideas that have already been percolating around in your brain, and the feeling of holding back in reaction and exercising your more conservative self. You are startlingly divided right now and one important task is to contain both sides of the polarity without flinching and without giving up on either perspective. It is possible for you to leap above the seeming conflict into a higher dimensional point of view that embraces both parts of yourself but this is a subtle exercise and obviously not easy to maintain. You are bringing to bear upon this issue all your previous lives you have lived in preparation for this moment, and you will need them. The First Quarter Moon of Sunday, July 18th, serves to remind you of the inherent flaws in your schemes and the potential challenges awaiting any new idea of yourself that seeks to flower. There are daemons from your past that also might arise in your path at this time, like trolls beneath the bridge that importune you for a heavy toll to let you pass. The more awareness that you can manage to grant recognition to these ghosts from your past the more easily you will be able to integrate them into your conscious understanding. The extremely powerful Full Moon a week later, taking place on Sunday, July 25th, potentially carries you to a place of greater internal acceptance. These are difficult times, and fraught with both real and perceived dangers, but if you ignore the torpedoes and move forward with the most positive attitude that you can muster, you will prevail, especially if you can continue to keep faith in the power of the universe to sustain you through anything.
