It's a novel year and a different world out there, Cancer, and in many ways a different world for you internally as well. You are moving this month through cries of doom and clouds of illusion into a new fulfillment. You have the courage of your convictions available to you to sustain you on this journey toward wholeness if only you are willing to drop your reservations and access it. Partnership with others is an important part of your journey now, and potentially quite helpful. You are also integrating familial connections in an unusual and surprisingly fruitful way that rather than subtracting from your sense of security actually enhances it. By month's end you might feel as though you had been drawn into the tunnel at the end of the universe and back out.

As the month begins, you are being stretched in several directions all at once. The New Moon of Wednesday evening, February 2nd, brings you energy to delve more deeply into your process. You are connecting with family and with partners and with your own profound center, and all the while exploring new horizons in career and professional life. The powerful transmutation of your relationship energy continues, and even jumps ahead at times, while opportunities open up for a greater commitment in the arena of outer achievement. It's an exciting time to be alive. The energies that swirl around you now are all about your connections with important others in your life, and yet they represent also the objectification of inner dynamics that are always present and always seeking greater integration and resolution within you. Family and especially partners perform a great service for you, and provide a rich mirror, pulling your inner dynamics out of you and into symbolic shadow play before you. The First Quarter Moon of Thursday, February 10th, might give you pause in your progress. This is a time when the obvious potential conflict of self versus other, and also of individual versus group, becomes more pronounced, and also a time when you find yourself more critically examining the evolutionary arc of your own process and what it would take to actually get you to where you think you might be heading. You are fundamentally optimistic now and riding high on confidence and pizzazz, but there are intense dramas of relationship and inner work to navigate also. The Full Moon a week later, taking place after midnight on the night of Thursday, February 17th, and in the early morning hours of the 18th, comes as a reminder to reach for mental and philosophical as well as emotional balance. You are entering a weekend when communication will be more important than ever as you attempt to revision your approach to your philosophy of life and living. There could be high idealism in your makeup now to contend with, or at least a compassionate sense of oneness that can see the world as an extension of cosmic rather than earthly priorities. When the Last Quarter Moon arrives in the following week, taking place on Thursday, February 24th, it will be accompanied by a reflective stance. You are actively engaged at this time in visioning new opportunities for yourself, absorbing but not limited by the information gained from the monthly cycle that is completing at month's end. This month has been a powerful set of transitions for you and a spring board for further spiritual exploration.
