Capricorn Horoscope (December 22 - January 19)
Cardinal Earth. Your ruling planet is Saturn.

You are stable in word only these days, Capricorn. Even though you represent a pillar of your community with your focus even more than usual on outer- and achievement-oriented events and accomplishments, there are simultaneously tremendous seismic shifts cooking underground where no one is watching. Mystical interaction calls you now, reflected in heart-felt communication that surprises you with your own intensity and also delivers huge quantities of novel information. Your emotional center is deeply stirred, and also quite seriously shaken, as you are rocked to the very core of your personality. Making your new home on a traveling skateboard does not give you that totally secure feeling but it is exciting and extremely productive of new insights.

As the month begins, you are in the midst of a paradoxical period of time when you excel at outer events and their rewards and these affect you strongly, and when you are equally cooking within yourself a course of inner work that is perhaps much more difficult to accomplish or even grasp its true meaning. The New Moon of Friday, March 4th, intensifies these concerns, and signals a time when you recognize that ideas and communication are key to your process. A part of you that is deep inside yourself is changing in response to changing conditions, and is in some sense being reborn in this new phase. You're just like the cocooning butterfly in this respect, and although it must be admitted that within the cocoon the transitioning caterpillar is not having very much fun as his skin and even muscles dissolve, it is what it is. This radically transformational process in nature is guided by what are poetically called "imaginal" cells, and this naming might apply to you also, for only your intuitional imagination can help you to see beyond the more obvious and yet essentially distorted ways of thinking into a magical space where even this cooking is sacred. The First Quarter Moon of Saturday, March 12th represents another powerful juncture when you are attempting to see what part of your ongoing process is truly viable. Your values are changing at this time, a reflection of your nascent inner self that is attempting to come more fully into birth. There is a basic instability at the heart of your interior process now. This contributes mightily to your understanding of everything that is currently happening to you so long as you maintain your ability to simply relax and take it in, without judgment, without trying to alter anything. A week later, on the weekend of the Full Moon beginning on Saturday, March 19th, this instability is magnified. You are also somewhat stabilized by you continuing to rely on outer forms for the real-world affirmation that you need in order to function, a useful illusion. You are haunted now by the polarity of public and private, and in the one you are superbly realized while in the other you might find yourself thrashing around in the dark of an unknown outcome. On the last weekend on the month, when the Last Quarter Moon hits, on Saturday, March 26th, you are challenged to find the gold amidst all your meanderings and false starts. There is an important meaning that will eventually come through although a better outline of this message might only become clear with the passage of time. This continues to be a period of surprises and potentially painful realizations. It is also a time when the greatest possible degree of openness really serves you, as something within your soul struggles to be born. You must let go of total control of this realignment. The point of the exercise is that you don't really know what is getting ready to emerge from within you; you only know that it is a vastly different persona that eventually awaits you at the end of your journey of transformation.
