Capricorn Horoscope (December 22 - January 19)
Cardinal Earth. Your ruling planet is Saturn.

It's a paradox and a conundrum, Capricorn. Your future is coming toward you now at express-train speed and yet you still feel stuck. You are energized around career and public acclaim and at the same time feeling like you need to re-think everything in the light of an orthogonally oriented process that brings in the mystical. Then too, part of the problem is the mud that clogs up your pathway forward which may in fact be calcified from old ways of thought and of action that have long outlived their usefulness but linger on. The road ahead is arduous and yet something is nevertheless destabilizing your comfort zone and calling you to venture onward. What is it? And how do you burst through the barriers and get with it?

As the month begins, you are feeling into the flow of the powerful New Moon energy from the closing week of the previous month, taking place in your sector of resources and values. Your values are shifting at what seems sometimes like a glacial pace, and other times rather suddenly. Enlightenment beckons in fits and starts but is not without its potential drawbacks which include shaking up your system in ways that can be difficult to take. You long for speeding ahead with your plans and for the comfort of a known set of rules and procedures, forming the train tracks that can be navigated without much extra effort to lead you to your ticketed station. And yet you also realize deep inside yourself somewhere that in order to arrive at your true destination you must jump these tracks and make your lonely path without them through a dissolving countryside; the path that is yours and yours alone to travel. As you are feeling your way into these ideas, you might perhaps recognize that you are on the verge of breakthrough but not quite able to get there. A process has begun but it will take many weeks before it is anything close to complete. This would be a disaster if you were interested in nothing but the arrival, but you are fortunate in having some joy right now also in the journeying. With the advent of the Full Moon of Tuesday, February 7th, when your ruler Saturn also changes direction, you might feel yet another shift in the level and direction of your basic awareness. This ushers in a relatively mellow time period, when balance is sought and eventually found, and when issues of self and other come to the fore for better recognition. You are engaged at this time in an active search within you for a better handle on life and love, and in some ways a solitary position works best, or at least one with a strong admixture of solitude. This idea carries over to the time of the Last Quarter Moon of Tuesday, February 14th, which is ironically also Valentine's Day. You might easily feel at this time as well that there is as much to be gained by silent reflection and contemplation of your issues as by engaging in dialogue with loved ones regarding these same concerns. Certainly there is room for both approaches; fully engaging with another and still with one part of your mind always somewhere deep inside yourself, silently witnessing your changes. The New Moon a week later, coming along on Tuesday, February 21st, is another powerful time, when you are drawn to the mystical as much as to the real and seemingly solid boundaries of the physical world. This last week of the month is still a meditative period for you although a more energetic one; it is also a joyous time when much that is good will be offered. Your communication sparkles now, but not without taking into full account the fundamentally serious nature of your play.
