Gemini Horoscope (May 21 - June 20)
Mutable Air. Your ruling planet is Mercury.

This month you are in the world but not of it, Gemini, finding yourself more internally than outer oriented. You are coming to new means of softer intimacy with others and even yourself. Your introspective stance is made more noticeable at the time of the May 6th retrograde of your ruler Mercury in your sign, followed by its moving backward into your sector of dreams over the next six weeks or so. As you turn to the unseen world, this period is a good one for meditating or other spiritual practices, and it is likely too that your dream life will be richly informative. This is a good time to take stock of where your life is heading right now, and how your actions ultimately serve your highest purpose.

As the month begins, you are feeling excited by the mundane world that surrounds you and also, simultaneously, in-dwelling within the structures of your secret soul. With your ruler Mercury about to turn retrograde in your sign, you are at the moment both inner and outer in your affect and in your presence, which is largely a spiritual presence at this time. You are reaching out philosophically to points of view other than your own, to angel guidance perhaps, and seeking to explore distant horizons mentally if not physically. When Mercury turns to retrograde motion on Wednesday, May 6th, you will likely feel the shift, especially if you were born in May rather than June. The Mercury retrograde period affects you strongly since Mercury stations in your sign and in aspect to Pluto. This period lasts until mid-June when you count the time of the retrograde shadow, and is excellent for journaling and for research of all kinds, but not so good for making new contacts or even for communication with existing ones. You can expect mechanical breakdowns and missed connections, and choose to practice patience and meditation, always a virtue. With the Full Moon of Friday, May 8th, you are entering in some ways into the best of both worlds, as long as you can remain open to the possibilities that surround you. You are changing at the core, and you have to be prepared for the metamorphosis that is occurring. As the poet says, �you can�t go back and you can�t stand still.� The locomotive is coming down the tracks and it will take you with it if you will join the energy or knock you aside if you won�t. You are seeking a path between the horns of your dilemma, a leap of faith. With the Last Quarter Moon of Saturday evening and Sunday morning, May 16th and 17th, you could be finding it. The New Moon in your sign that comes along a week later, taking place on Sunday, May 24th, represents a whole new way of looking at the day. The next couple of weeks, on into June, may prove climactic in taking a fresh starting point for your march into personal evolution and for incorporating a spiritual perspective while doing so.
