Gemini Horoscope (May 21 - June 20)
Mutable Air. Your ruling planet is Mercury.

You are in for an interesting couple of months, Gemini, heading into the New Year. Relationship with significant partners in your life is only one of the things that are on your mind. Another involves your future life path opening up before you – a path that implies yet further and more massive changes in the way that you see yourself at the deepest possible levels. This affects how you connect intimately with others, and ultimately with yourself. This month is for investigation and mid-January is the time for action. A doorway is presenting itself to you and it leads you away from static existence and previously overly-limiting conceptual cages. The train is getting ready to leave the station and your angels will rejoice when they turn around to find that you are actually on board.

As the month begins, you are reflecting on where your life is taking you at this time. You are unconsciously preparing for the mid-month retrograde of your ruler Mercury in your sector of intimacy and personal evolution. This is a huge month for you, and it involves nothing less than a thorough-going transmutation of all that you stand for and of the way that you see the world around you. Partners come into the puzzle of your life changes right now in a big way also, as an adjunct to your own process of transformation and integration. The New Moon of Sunday, December 5th, represents an important watershed moment. You are perhaps seeing further now into the depths of your own soul than ever before, and partners certainly help in rounding out the picture and aiding you to observe yourself more clearly in the mirror of their eyes. Multiple perspectives come to you and then vanish in a kind of mental mist. They are all important, although you can drive yourself crazy obsessing over any one of them. There's a way that you are imagining the cultural and philosophical matrix that surrounds you in these many different ways, seeing the ephemeral nature of things and feeling the pain of that as well; seeing your ultimate connection to Spirit as the most important part, the bedrock of all the rest, and then doubting it too. These myriad impressions make up a whole and it is a mistake to trust too much in your logical mind's ability to separate them out, to make one the key ingredient and the others a form of lie, because this itself is just one more illusion. When your ruler Mercury retrogrades on Friday, December 10th, the energy shifts and you become if anything even more reflective and internal. You are seeing this through in some fashion, at whatever level you are comfortable with consciously framing it, and whatever this process really amounts to in terms of actions and results. This might take the form of mentally finding a place to stand while you examine what really underlies all that is taking place for you. The First Quarter Moon of Monday, December 13th marks a moment of tension in your progress, a time when you are feeling suddenly more optimistic and yet more conflicted also. These might be mostly internal but can get projected onto partners as well so that minor skirmishes could flair. It helps to recognize that you are dealing with deeper issues than the ones that present themselves on the surface, or as one wise person puts it that you are never angry for the reason you think you are. With the Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse of the following week, taking place on Tuesday, December 21st, and coincident with the Winter Solstice, you are entering into a better sense of balance with all of these issues. Intuition takes on cosmic proportions and career priorities could suddenly change. This is also still very much an internal and thought-provoking time for you, with the Mercury retrograde period still in full swing, lingering in one form or another into the New Year. By mid-January you are snapping out of this feeling of malaise with a more solid concept for what you are about and a calmer acceptance of the massive changes that continue, and that continue to amaze you. The future is uncertain but optimistic. The past, as they say, is prologue.
