Gemini Horoscope (May 21 - June 20)
Mutable Air. Your ruling planet is Mercury.

You are ready to let fly your arrow, Gemini, although you must be aware also that it could outstrip its intended target by miles and lead you into unexpected results. Of course, these might indeed prove better than what you originally had in mind. The mystical side of life calls to you quite strongly right now and lends a mysterious and internally fulfilling subtext to everything that you say and do. You are on a fortunate path to perceived excellence that transcends ordinary thinking and goals, moving you toward an essentially artistic set of agendas and pursuits. You are in some ways held back by caution, but this has the benefit of allowing your wine to more fully mature before you uncork the bottle and plunge ahead.

As the month begins, you are more completely recognizing the extent that you are on an essentially spiritual journey, with correspondences to the physical world but by no means thereby determined. It seems more and more evident that this surface existence is only a small part of what you have going on, in spite of appearances to the contrary, and that simple logic only tells a small part of the story of what life actually consists of, in spite of your natural predilection for that mode of investigation. You are occupying your body with only a halfway presence in the mundane world right now, with much of your persona caught up in dream worlds of your own devising. This can be good as long as you recognize it for what it really is, intimations of a wider universe than is revealed in the visible world. Of course you continue to function in real time as well. It is fine to mix these states but it helps when you can be clear in your own mind about what is really happening. The New Moon of late Monday evening, May 2nd, brings fresh energy to all these operative layers of your being. You are very idealistic at this time, and with perhaps a tendency to deceive yourself regarding what is going on around you. You could for example put significant others in your life "on a pedestal," or in the reverse idealization, think them up to less good than they actually turn out to be, so that it is best to reserve judgment whenever possible and seek corroboration to all thoughts. The thoughts of the little mind can be so misleading, while the concepts of the Higher Self are always on key – the trick is to catch the difference. One idea is to actually ask yourself who you would be without this particular thought; a test that can be revealing of the deeper truth that is inherent in your situation. The First Quarter Moon of Tuesday, May 10th, might be a time that serves to clarify things by the negative implications of what they are not. Tensions could arise at this juncture, when you are caught between dream time and the exigencies of the so-called real world. You are conceptually casting your rod out in the stream of the future to see what you can catch, and the results might pleasantly surprise you. Powerful ideas are coming your way constantly these days and some of them resonate with the internal goals that are currently driving you. These could include transcending patterns of behavior that have held you back in the past. You are after more complete and heartfelt connection with others while not giving up too much of yourself in the process. The Full Moon of Tuesday, May 17th, represents a plateau of change; a time and place where you can look out over the prairie landscape that you have traversed to reach this relatively calm perspective. You are still very much engaged with your inner reality but you are also preparing to come more fully into the mundane world of schedules and events, although bearing the fruits of your sojourn in that ideal other-worldly plane of existence where you have been largely dwelling. The Last Quarter Moon of Tuesday the 24th serves as a reminder of this unseen world even as you step more fully into this one, and of the painful nature of modern man's separation from it. It is also at this point that you are likely to reflect on how much further you have to go to get where you truly want to be, those heights that you have yet to climb.
