Gemini Horoscope (May 21 - June 20)
Mutable Air. Your ruling planet is Mercury.

You are attuning to your inner depths, Gemini, and contrary to popular belief, there are no real dragons to be found in these uncharted waters. This is a big month for more thoroughly finding yourself in the context of family or tribe, and for redefinition generally. You are also taking a good long look at largely dysfunctional patterns arising out of the distant past but which still have the power to trip you up in this current era. By examining these details through the lens of intuition they lose their power to so strongly affect you, and you are enabled to form new agendas going forward. By Full Moon time you will be returning is some important sense to your roots � and you will know the place for the first time.

As the month begins you are in a pivotal place for yourself and for your inner process. This is a time of reflection and introspection for you, with your ruler, Mercury, only just now changing to direct motion, and still with over a week to go before it escapes its �retrograde shadow� period on the 9th, This period of time is made especially strong because of two factors of this recent retrograde. The first of these is that as Mercury stationed it opposed Neptune almost exactly, giving you a potent dose of this otherworldly and idealistic dimension. The other is that Mercury retrograded in the beginning degrees of your fourth sector, which is a psychologically active area of your chart, increasing the strangeness and the potential confusion of the Neptunian influence. As a consequence, you have been striving mightily to escape the simplistic thinking that is espoused by consensus philosophy surrounding you. Steve Jobs recent quote is relevant here: �Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice.� Some would say that logic is the sole determinant of reality, but you know in your heart that it just is not so, and that actually reality with a capital �R� goes far beyond this overly superficial assessment, based in thought forms arising from early conditioning, in many ways the wrong direction for humans who are aspiring to become all that they can be individually. With the First Quarter Moon of Sunday, September 4th, you are heading into a quandary that pits differing and divisive points of view against one another in seeming conflict. The truth, as always, lies somewhere in between. You might be tempted to making a strong stand for your own opinion but there is usually much to be gained from a synthesized standpoint that takes into account as large picture a view as possible. The Full Moon of Monday, September 12th, offers the possibility of balance, and gives you a powerful push toward resolving interpersonal differences by compromising intelligently with important partners. This does not of course imply caving in or giving up your individuality for the sake of relationship harmony. With the Last Quarter Moon of Tuesday, September 20th, you are mulling over the past three weeks and reviewing the events that you have encountered with an eye to improvement. It may be that old and dysfunctional patterns of behavior have emerged over this period of time, and if so it is essentially for the purpose of recognizing trauma-ridden or walled-off complexes and moving past them. You gain through greater acceptance and ultimate integration of these hurt or wounded parts of yourself. The New Moon a week later taking place on Tuesday, September 27th, makes for an important and powerful fresh start in these and many other areas of your life.
