Mutable Air. Your ruling planet is Mercury.

This is a time of meditation for you, Gemini, more than one of direct action. This is a huge factor for you to recognize because you are also able to detect the operation of powerful energies that could be interpreted as an impetus for action. You are reviewing the impact of partnership in your life, including business partnerships, and your action orientation might feel as though it has a strong interior and essentially domestic component. The strongest activity will be on the inside, and visionary in its nature. You are exploring new territory within the vast and yeasty inner reaches of your private heart space, and this is a very important endeavor �one that takes all you�ve got � even as you forge new ground as well with significant relationships.

As the month begins, you are reveling in relationship or at the very least relationship potential, and also paradoxically engaging in a somewhat internal perspective on this area of activity and its import for you, attempting to redefine this area of your life. Increasingly as the month wears on you may therefore feel that in many ways it is a whole new ball game for you. You are in an essentially meditative mode with the advent of the Mercury retrograde period of time, which takes place entirely within your partnership sector. These effects are heightened because after all Mercury is your ruler; you tend to approach matters with the power of thought as at least one major component. Your inner world is also strongly constellated right now, and the lack of logical solutions thereby implied is antithetical to your natural mode of operations. There could be an inherent fuzziness now to all your endeavors and particularly to affairs of the heart. The First Quarter Moon of late Thursday night, December 1st and early Friday morning, brings some tension into the mix of energies that swirl around you now. You seem to know where you might be headed but are really not all that sure. Significant partners in your life could provide a sharply contrasting or even critical point of view as you try your best to sort things out for yourself. You might feel distracted by the recognition of your own issues that need to be addressed in order for relationship to manifest in your life in the most truly authentic way possible, and also feel the intensity of your will to change these factors and many others for yourself going forward. With the Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse in your sign, relationship with significant others in your life comes even more into the picture. You are also more directly accessing the secret confines of your inner world, which makes for an interesting mix of energies and one that is appropriate for getting a better handle on the true meaning of relationship for you. You might take this opportunity to become more available to yourself at all levels of your being, including the places where you feel ashamed or otherwise undervalued. These complexes, for want of a better word, can become walled-off from your conscious acting self and store themselves up as pockets of pain and dissatisfaction. There is an opening now to better accept yourself in these areas, forgiving yourself for what you have in the past unconsciously refused to forgive, and acknowledging the pain of ancient trauma that has perhaps prevented you from integrating these hidden parts of your psyche up to now. If so you make great strides toward a happier and more peaceful existence. The Last Quarter Moon of the following week takes place on Saturday, December 17th, after the station of your ruler Mercury to direct motion on the 13th, and there is a subtle shift to the energy that you have for self-reflection. You are still in an introspective mode at this time, both due to the phase of the lunar cycle that is ending now, and because Mercury is still regaining lost ground. You are summing up what has occurred, and attempting to understand these events in the light of recent epiphanies. The New Moon of Saturday, December 24th, Christmas Eve, is especially powerful for you, and will likely shock you into yet another new level of understanding that takes your inner world even more solidly into account.
