Leo Horoscope (July 23 - August 22)
Fixed Fire. Your ruling planet is The Sun.

This is the first month of the rest of your life, Leo. Partnership is powerfully expansive and transformative for you right now, as well as idealized, and yet your focus on others ultimately leads you to focus on yourself, and to explore the boundaries and the limitations of your own personality. You have a tendency at this time to put the significant others in your life up on a pedestal, and yet to also question this very act of idolization. Even with all the potential fantasy of your condition, concrete changes will emerge over time. This is especially true the more you can pay careful attention to everything that happens, seen from the point of view of the future rather than of the past.

As the month begins, you are feeling the presence of your angel guides, as manifested in human partners. The enthusiasm is there right now for important others in your life to bless you with the gift of their presence. This is a positive time for you, positive and possibly a little confused as well, when many things in your world could begin to alter. You are in an entirely idealistic space these days, especially regarding the intentions of others in your life, and may need to guard against illusion or even outright deception. The trick is to balance the welcome and valuable input of others with your own strong sense of yourself. The Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse of Wednesday, August 5th, is a model of this balance, when the Sun in your sign meets the Moon across the chart, representing other. It might be the perfect time to inquire as to how you mediate the input of significant others without giving up too much of your own agenda, and how you satisfy yourself without completely abandoning their requirements as you do. The triple conjunction of Jupiter, Chiron and Neptune is still active in your sector of partnership, although moving away from the very exact configuration of the late spring and early summer, giving you a dose of the numinous amidst the give and take of ordinary life. When the Last Quarter Moon comes along a week later, on the 13th, it will represent an opportunity to reflect on these and other conundrums. This is traditionally a time when in reviewing the cycle from one New Moon to the next we can see what doesn't quite work in terms of long-term viability. In this case Saturn is emphasized, a perfect chime with this idea. Accepting the limitations imposed by concrete circumstances, in spite of your idealistic overall viewpoint, might be one of the most important lessons of this period of time. The New Moon that comes along a week later in the last degrees of your sign represents another call to individuality, in spite of self-imposed limits, and in spite of everything. You are in some sense reinventing yourself right now, and moving though any obstacles that you encounter in order to do so. You still must remember to honor the concrete practicality of life on planet earth as you do. It's a paradox and a spiral path of plus and minus, the idea that can ignore anything that does not match your unique and high vision for yourself and the home truth that is equally poignant and present for you right now that you must nevertheless bow to practical necessity.
