You are reveling in the complexities of partnership right now, Leo. As you settle into the paradoxical inconsistencies and learn to love them rather than to be annoyed, you begin to get a glimpse of the divine in everyday life which is one of your themes for the coming year. A service orientation prevails within your heart and mind for at least the first six months of this new decade and this currently leads you to powerful presences within you as well as outside of you. The relationship epiphanies keep on coming, and as they do they lead you to written and communicative interaction that is a powerful medium for the expression of depth-realities more profound and more serious than anything you have previously experienced.

As the month begins, you are taking a serious look at life, love and partnership. You are busy putting your energies into service to your highest purpose for yourself. Like Diogenes lifting his lamp, you are searching for the truth of what you are truly meant to accomplish in this world, only your lamp is based as much on heart as on mind. You are making significant headway with your life at this time, and also finally getting to the point of admitting compassionate partnership into it as an important part of your own way forward. With the Last Quarter Moon of Friday, February 5th, you are assessing the validity of everything that has gone before – over the three weeks since the time of the mid-January Solar Eclipse in your sector of your discipleship to your higher self. There could be a modicum of tension in the mix of energies as you sort things out. You have been reinventing yourself to some extent over this entire period, during the opening two months of this new year and decade. You will find yourself settling into a more comfortable position when Mars turns to direct rather than retrograde motion with his March 10th station in your sign. Until then it is refreshing to think of the distance you have covered in just these few weeks. The New Moon of Saturday, February 13th provides a fresh burst of energy for growth. Now is the time when you are most likely to acknowledge the power of significant others in your life to affect your own outcome, hopefully without seeing their influence as an either-or with your own sense of autonomy but rather as an addition. The potent configuration of these energies holds your feet to the fire of change, and emphasizes your own progress as the overarching factor, but in definite tandem with others also. Significant partners in your life can provide an important mirror for your own process. There is an optimistic sense of inclusively between others and yourself right now, and what is perhaps most significant, among the disparate and potentially walled-off parts of yourself. The walling away of wounded places might well begin to dissolve with the compassionate aid of significant others in your life when they can reach out to you and help to bridge the gap. These essential ingredients for moving forward in an entirely innovative and central way will take a while to settle, perhaps the entire cycle of four weeks of this New Moon. The first strong moment of integration of these energies might come on the occasion of the First Quarter Moon of Sunday the 21st, when the accumulated perspective shifts may have added up to the beginnings of a new plan. This is an arrangement that works its magic from the inside out. The Full Moon on the last day of the month will also be powerful for you, and might feel like a wind tunnel of transformation as you are swept along into the channels that the universe has long ago prepared. Resistance is not only futile but also painful, and damaging to the nascent self that is busily and quietly making its way through the maelstrom and into the light of a new dawn.
