Leo Horoscope (July 23 - August 22)
Fixed Fire. Your ruling planet is The Sun.

Your neural network is dancing, Leo. Given the tenor of these times, and the astrological configurations that reflect them, you are capable of learning at a faster rate than ever before, and with rapid shifts in point of view. If you can muster up a suspension of disbelief and a willingness to let go of the past, there is opportunity now to think your way through buried trauma of past conditioning. Meditation helps. It might be that difficult interpersonal situations will arise over the first several weeks of this month, but if so their primary purpose is to allow your vision to expand to include a basic acceptance of inner wounding, enabling you to finally move past it. By the 25th you come into yourself in a new way.

As the month begins, you are still feeling the combination of inspiration and necessity stemming from the very powerful Full Moon of the last weekend in June. You are filled will brilliant ideas right now, and yet perhaps not quite ready to move forward with them. This is for you a period of inner contemplation and review that is informed by your vision and by your willingness to transform in both what you believe and also where you feel in your heart that you are truly heading with your life right now. This time between the eclipses is very special for you in particular, a time where an inner world of dream realizations becomes more alive for you than your waking reality. You are half residing now in that world, capable of going to the depths of your condition and back out again. As you return briefly to the upper world of light and movement, you carry with you the fruit of that introspection. It is important that you honor these dream remnants in your waking consciousness so that you can begin to integrate the wisdom that they bring into your more outer orientation. There might be painful places within you that are thereby revealed; but these too are an important and necessary part of you and must be recognized and honored before you can move on with your life. The Last Quarter Moon of Sunday, July 4th, corresponding to the national holiday, thus represents for you a different kind of celebration, one that acknowledges the darker spaces within you equally with the light. This is a time when you are seeing with your inner eye, and when you are engaged in summing up the past few weeks in recognition of received wisdom and even guidance. You are tuning into realities not strictly of this physical plane within this special time. Then the New Moon and Solar Eclipse a week later, taking place on Sunday, July 11th, represents a fresh start, but one that again acknowledges inner concerns as well as outer. You are dipping back into the difficult as well as the beautiful places within your depths. It must be reiterated that you do well to honor and accept whatever is dark that you find inside yourself at this time, for to do so only makes you better capable of expansion into the light-filled places that also exist. There is a solid consistency to everything that you say and do at this time, a ponderable weight. You are in a terrific place to prepare for necessary long-term changes that are overdue and yet in another way right on time for you. You are perhaps more fully invested in ego than many of your contemporaries, and with also creativity in your involvement; still, at this juncture need to let ego go. You needn't worry, because it will come back stronger and more fully harmonized with What Is. The First Quarter Moon of the following weekend, taking place on the 18th, serves to make these issues even clearer for you. Any tensions in your process of growing awareness that arise at this time will only enable you to more easily see the outlines of what you are attempting. The Full Moon in your opposite sign a week later on, taking place on Sunday, July 25th, represents a culmination of everything that has gone before, and brings partners more fully into the picture. This is your chance to more fully integrate inner focus into conscious awareness.
