Leo Horoscope (July 23 - August 22)
Fixed Fire. Your ruling planet is The Sun.

Your season of change continues, Leo, as you refine your approach to home and family. This is the most important area of your life in forming the basis for your emotional security. You are delving down into the psychological roots of your being, hopefully to emerge with the pearl of wisdom that will get you to the next phase. In this you are aided by flashes of inspiration and idealization, perhaps over-idealization, of partnership contributions. You are starting to get a new handle on the connection between how you perceive yourself and the universe around you and what you do in the world. Each large triumph is but another small step along the way to a new level of your ongoing transformation.

As the month begins, you are consulting your inner being about the ways that family and tribe and your own depths influence you for better or for worse. There are important inner spaces for you to investigate and more fully explore, perhaps the more so because your Sunny outer disposition rarely allows you to go all the way down there. This is an amazing opportunity to get better acquainted with the dark side of your nature. It is said that if you do not make friends with the devil you will pay the price when dealing with the events of your life and the other beings that you encounter, since this force is still within you, although unknown, and could start calling the shots unexpectedly. The Venus retrograde energy traveling through your fourth sector all month long is perfect for this enterprise. The New Moon that arrives on Friday, November 5th, leads you to the crux of the matter, and provides you with plenty of fresh energy for diving down. You might be making a new beginning at this time on some other important aspect of your home psychological base, or even rearranging your physical home, but it pays you to remember not to ignore this aspect of your current environment. All of your interactions with others will have a definite fated feeling right now, as you feel for the truest sense of motivation in your connection to them. You are applying your mind to this issue that like a trail of breadcrumbs can lead you back to the cave but in the final denouement your mind is not what will be able to really get you there. With the First Quarter Moon of Saturday, November 13th, some bumps could arise on the road to your progress, perhaps in the form of conflicts with significant partners. This is an essentially mystical time when nothing is as it seems, not even the fight. You have the tendency now to over-idealize important persons in your life, or perhaps family members, or else to feel suspicious and out of touch with logical solutions. Part of the reason for this is that the magic and the mystery of your inner being will admit of nothing very logical or clear. This situation is workable however. It helps to suspend disbelief and try to just be in the presence of yourself at all levels, showing up fully for each and every passing moment. The station of Venus on November 18th represents an important juncture. The Full Moon a few days later on, taking place on Sunday, November 21st, feels like a fulfillment and a release. With Venus now direct and with the Moon modeling balance and connection you could be enjoying the energetic plateau of a calm after the storm. Your spiritual quest for wholeness continues, perhaps with even greater activation, on into the next month and indeed the New Year.
