Leo Horoscope (July 23 - August 22)
Fixed Fire. Your ruling planet is The Sun.

This is an amazing time for you, Leo. The flag of your metamorphosis is still in the process of running up the pole, as familial disruptions continue to settle and you find yourself reinventing some important piece of your persona and of your daily flow, including health concerns. You are attempting to put your best foot forward while bringing heart and mind into some kind of balance. What is called for is yet another move to the inside where you will find everything that you currently seek. In a mirror image of the starry sky above your head, it is within you that far-distant and potentially lost parts of yourself glisten and shine. Heading into the New Year the emphasis is on service to others, and seeing it come back to you in double measure.

As the month begins, you are dreaming about the perfect partnership and getting serious also about your commitment to all the other parts of your life, including family ties. Your home is important to you now, and no wonder, since it serves as the rock beneath your feet in uncertain times, providing you a place to stand while you pursue your deepest desires. Things have been moving fast lately, maybe even a little too fast, and you are riding high, moving forward with the waves of change running through you, at least when you can remember to surf them. The New Moon, taking place on Sunday, December 5th, gives you a fresh burst of energy for your process. The pace of change is rapid now, and unexpected events propel you into your next phase whether you are ready or not. The conceptual ideal of relationship alternates with the pain of not finding it to be the way you want it, and you might also encounter overly idealized attitudes and even self-deception in the mix that you experience now. Life is shining for you like a kaleidoscope with some very pretty patterns coming into view and then shifting out again, so that if you ignore the dizzying effect of so many different impressions of the same situation and your fears, it can be rather fun to check out new perspectives as they come up. The trick is not to take any one of them all that seriously. The universe is better seen, as the poet says, "as something to animate, not to appropriate, to earn not to own." With the First Quarter Moon of Monday, December 13th, there is a spot of tension in the energy and also a degree of optimism that you will get through it safely. Ideas are still coming fast and furious at this time, and you are all fired up for getting on with the show and putting your life in order. Patience is required, although you have little to spare in this rapid paced month of transition to the next year of potent change that awaits you. You do well to summon up what calmness you can. It helps to remember that the next view of the pattern will be different. The Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse of Tuesday, December 21st, coincident with the Winter Solstice, provides some semblance of balance and of spiritual connection to make ballast for your sometimes top-heavy concerns, and yet is somewhat destabilizing as well. You are changing deep inside yourself and it affects the way that you see your role and your connection with others; a change that is slow but sure. You will only find out how radically you have been transformed when you come out on the other side, sometime after the first two weeks of the year.
