Leo Horoscope (July 23 - August 22)
Fixed Fire. Your ruling planet is The Sun.

This is a month of contrast and of strong initiative, Leo. You are reaching for the stars while still remaining grounded in concrete reality, or at least partly so. There is idealism present in your evolving situation now, and also a tendency for illusion or fantasy that could prove troubling if you are not willing to take everything slowly and to look carefully before you take each step. You are seeing the world in a qualitatively novel way and this new set of insights informs everything that you think and do. You find yourself once more in the midst of a powerful set of changes – crossing an enormous ocean of belief to a farther shore – and it will leave you feeling quite different on the other side than when you started.

As the month begins, you are feeling expansive. Your real-world presence is becoming more active, just as at the very same time your recognition of your inner world is also growing. Your very beliefs and outer world perspectives are in serious flux at this time, changing in response to information that has been accumulating lately as well as to the intuitional clues that arise from the depths of your being. It is possible that you are moving in the direction of greater acceptance of the unknown and the unseen as a fundamental and also an ordinary part of life on this planet of amazing beauty and also contrast. The Taurus New Moon takes place in the late evening of Monday, May 2nd, or early morning May 3rd if you are on the East Coast, and it rings fresh energy to your various enterprises. This is a time when you are very motivated to be very present in the in the outer world of physical manifestation, and yet also responding to a more internal call as well that speaks to you of inner experience. Your communication at this time is serious and to the point, so that it is an excellent time for you to write or to journal regarding your experience. You are a spiritual warrior for an expanded and more mystical point of view, espousing the cause of greater latitude for other-dimensional perspectives almost to the point of combat. As far as others around you are concerned, it might be well to balance your evangelical ardor with a healthy dose of live and let live. There is a way that you are very sensitive to others at a feeling level but intellectually perhaps not so much. It might be that you have to take a more individual and also internal stance to see your way through. You are very tuned in at this time to the paradoxical notion of progress in the outer world as dependent on spiritual connection with others around you, and also feeling the pain of the separation that this union cannot be complete. With the Last Quarter Moon of Tuesday, May 24th, these feelings might intensify. This lunar phase traditionally signals a time of reassessment, when you must take what you have gathered from the preceding three weeks of the cycle and roll it up into a seed ball of fundamental knowledge to carry forward.
