Leo Horoscope (July 23 - August 22)
Fixed Fire. Your ruling planet is The Sun.

This is an amazing month for you, Leo, when you will have flashes of new insights and get a better handle on future direction. Your wishes are powerful now so you must choose wisely. As you feel the future moving toward you at express-train speed, new perspectives abound, including negative imaginings. The glass feels at times half-empty, at times half-full, and mostly overflowing. This is wonderfully exciting from the standpoint of revolutionary ardor and ultimately of spiritual development. Your task is to sort out, as carefully as you are able, the wheat of true evolutionary experience from the chaff of spinning your wheels, which includes illusion and even delusion. If you can achieve that you will be sitting pretty, or at least as pretty as you can, in a challenging and stimulating new world.

As the month begins, you are feeling the energy of the New Moon and Solar Eclipse in your sector of networking and evolving future plans. You are moving forward toward vastly different and perhaps more exciting ideas of what the next few years might hold for you. These include an expansive sense of career possibilities, serious commitment to expressing your truth and extending your educational possibilities, and a mystical sense of compassion and oneness taking hold at the very core of your being. All these factors are energized by the tidal force of this extra-potent New Moon taking place on the very first day of the month. The excitement of a dawning world view and sense of your own potency is matched by an even deeper sense of the likelihood for losses to manifest, and for painful process, as you navigate these potentially confusing new waters of personal evolution. You feel committed to staying within the relative safety of your home base and circle of friendship at the same time that you feel the thrust of outward bound and surprisingly uninhibited new alliances. This is an excellent time to vision new possibilities for yourself into being, with the understanding that in whatever direction you shoot your arrow you have a good chance of making your plans come to fruition. With the advent of the First Quarter Moon that comes along on Wednesday, June 8th, you might be tempted to emphasize the down side over your accomplishments thus far. This is traditionally the time in the cycle when the rubber meets the road of progress and when difficulties can mount, and on top of that, it must be acknowledged that with Saturn so prominent it has been a somewhat thorny time for you and everyone else lately. You have compensation and an advantage however in that the momentum of your development carries you far enough ahead that you might be able to think your way out of it. The mid-month Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse of Wednesday, June 15th, is powerful for you, and takes you to a new plateau of your development. You are simultaneously exploring your individual creativity and the way that your unique contribution plugs in to ongoing societal efforts that you espouse. It is difficult and perhaps painful to get things done but you win when you recognize that the best way to do is to be. If your aim is true you might be able to just relax with it and let the universe see you through. At the time of the Last Quarter Moon of Thursday, June 23rd, you will be able to look back on your path – that has lead you up to this final week of the month – with a degree of equanimity and enlivened perspective. There are seeds of wisdom to be garnered from your evolving situation and the consequences of events thus far that can be profitably brought forward into next month's cycle. Your most reliable guideposts now are insubstantial ones.
