Leo Horoscope (July 23 - August 22)

You are entering upon yet another powerful month, Leo. This time the foreground subject matter is formed by your values and the resources at your disposal, within the context of continuing shifts in perspective leading you further along the thread of your own personal evolution. Your finances have been fluctuating lately � and perhaps even something of a mystery � but all that begins to change with the oncoming fall season. Perhaps more important, your financial picture is only one way of looking at the transformation that you have been through, to the extent that they almost don�t even mater anymore, just counters in the game of what must be given over to one sidelined part of existence, while the real life of your mind and Spirit flows on independently.

As the month begins, you are feeling more than ever that existence is a continual exploration and an adventure. This last month � with the Mercury retrograde as its distinguishing feature � has been a thoughtful time, when although not so much in your life has altered, in many ways your attitude toward it has. There has also been a decidedly mystical slant to the proceedings lately, which has helped you to reformulate your thought process, or which constitutes perhaps the core of your resistance to such a reformulation. You are seeking a more thorough grounding in the physical world, something that you can fully count on amidst the viscidities and trials of this life. Paradoxically perhaps, such a grounding requires greater reliance on what is not fully discernable to your five senses, but is available only to your mind�s eye; to the part of your psyche that is represented by Spirit acting through you. The New Moon a few days before the previous month ended gives you a boost of radical new energy for your attempt to figure things out in a way that makes cosmic as well as practical sense. Your values and core beliefs are the subject matter of this entire month�s philosophical journeying. This can include your financial resources, but to be taken more as a symbol of value than as a thing in itself. You are fortunate lately in your material circumstances but likely not dwelling on this factor. With the First Quarter Moon of Sunday, September 4th, there could be conflicts that emerge. You are seeing just which of your rather wild fantasies for progress at this juncture is viable. If you do encounter difficulties they might represent opportunities for greater understanding of your true situation. The Full Moon a week later, taking place on Monday, September 12th, is opposite your resources sector, so that you are essentially seeking a balance of energies between self and other, and making more conscious choices in this area. It is also possible that you have greater consciousness surrounding old patterns of behavior that have been coming up for you over the past two weeks. This form of knee-jerk reactivity usually stems from early childhood when you did not get what was truly needed in parental or in peer-to-peer relationships, and could continue to haunt you in your present day until some sort of effort is made to confront them and put them to rest. Acceptance is the key, and for that you need a preliminary sense of exactly what is troubling you, which might in fact be the gift for you of this period of time. The Last Quarter Moon of Tuesday, September 20th, is a surprising and perhaps volatile time for you, and also a time when you might be able to reflect on these ideas and others relating to your current arc of development. You are but a few days away from to the Fall Equinox now, taking place on the 23rd, when you could encounter epiphanies regarding relationship that also potentially come to others around you as well. This week you have the courage to act on your convictions but those very notions of what is most important going forward might prove to be a changing landscape right now. Your deeply felt ideals and feelings for where to take them are subject to refinement and transformation throughout this monthly cycle. With the Libra New Moon of Tuesday the 27th you are poised for more of these adventures in awareness, a prelude to important growth. As your ideas move, so moves the world around you.
