Leo Horoscope (July 23 - August 22)
Fixed Fire. Your ruling planet is The Sun.

This is an interesting month for both spiritual and mental progress, Leo. Although these twin modalities are not often linked they can indeed be one and the same. You are possessed by a fierce and competitive drive for knowledge, and by the realization that knowledge is power. But between the concepts of power over and the power of self-transcendence there is an obvious choice, and it is one to which you are increasingly attuned. Your communication comes fast and furious at times or else goes silent as you move toward the inside to dwell on the responsibility to remain as true as possible to your principles, as you can presently discern them. Through all of this you are gradually coming into better alignment between what you believe and what you actually do.

As the month begins, you are feeling that your abrupt intuitional shifts in perspective are far from over, which makes perfect sense considering the continuing and charged presence of Uranus in your sector of belief systems and Higher Mind activity. You are on the one hand very rationally oriented at this time, intent on communicating with others and on using the powers of your logical mind further dig into the puzzle of how and why you are here; on the other side however you are paradoxically also quite aware that logic does not begin to scratch the surface of the deeper mystery of your existence. There is comfort in being able to acknowledge the spiritual side of life even as you make all the necessary practical moves required to keep up with this running-in-place, fast-paced world we all live in. The Libra New Moon from the end of last month that symbolizes this month�s cycle also emphasized gentle and subtle Neptune, located at the cusp of your sector of intimacy and personal evolution. There is a strong push within you to explore intimate relationship with others and also to delve more deeply into inner connection between hidden parts of your psyche on the way to a better understanding of your own dynamics in this important area. With the First Quarter Moon of Monday, October 3rd, the rubber meets the road with changes that you are engaged in making. You might feel the constraint of unexpected limitations imposed upon you, as well as the pressure of working through these to a more inclusive sense of life mission. The potential changes in your basic belief system reverberate through to a new understanding of where you are headed with your life, and with new questions that you had not thought to ask up until now. The Full Moon of Tuesday, October 11th, brings you to a balance point; you are poised on the brink of unplanned action, which is scary but also exciting, especially if you can step back from your life as a whole and see it as a huge learning experiment. You must in some sense close your outer eyes now and follow your heart. All this eventually leads you to a very different conception of your mission statement and to life style and health decisions as well, as the information that has been slowly building bursts through with a tipping point of one more link in the chain of realizations. The Last Quarter Moon of Wednesday, October 19th, is a chance to look back on the events of the previous three weeks of the cycle, and perhaps to affirm that sense of inner guidance that can gracefully steer your life almost without your needing to particularly do anything at all but watch and reflect on your changes. This is the seed period for the next cycle. You are storing up the impressions that will enable future breakthrough that is more informed and longer lasting, starting with the energy of the October 26th New Moon that gives you the impetus to change from the inside out.
