Leo Horoscope (July 23 - August 22)
Fixed Fire. Your ruling planet is The Sun.

You are in the thick of it, Leo, reveling in the surface glitter of outer form and yet lost within your own internal musings. You travel with an optimistic sense of future possibility which however must also be tempered with a degree of caution since surprises abound and the walls that channel your progress might be closing in, even as the doors of your future beckon brightly. When Mercury retrogrades mid-month in your identity sector, it makes a relatively internal monthly period for you even more so. You are finding enlightenment in the only place that truly makes sense � your own depths � and assimilating the pain of past mistakes along with the blessings of a more benign stage in journey toward your best intention, no matter what seeks to obscure this inner vision.

As the month begins, you are exploring what is behind and beyond the everyday scenarios of your conscious waking mind. Your worldview is morphing � rather abruptly times � in a variety of cosmic epiphany whereby everything that you formerly believed suddenly alters. The thought process that you find yourself in the midst of is novel and also inevitably affects the way that you connect with and align yourself to your highest intention moving forward. This is a time of intense evolutionary, even revolutionary, change, so that you everyone else around you are in the position of a surfer confronting the hugest wave, trying to find the way to not only survive but prosper in the face of it. Some important and importantly informational feeling has been trying to break through to your mental as well as your emotional understanding. These intimations of radical change might feel like disaster to the small ego/mind that wants at all costs to preserve its status quo. Certainly some loss is involved, as in any case there must be in the instance of radical life-changing transformation, as you can tell just by asking the caterpillar. Yet the trick is not to give in to negative imaginings, but instead to ride that fear forward into your unfolding future self in all its streamlined glory. In this you are aided by your strong intuition that has volumes to communicate to you right now, if you are only able to place yourself in a position to receive these emanations of cosmic wisdom.

With the Full Moon of Tuesday, July 3rd, the realizations of this profound time sink home in a more rooted fashion, as you seek to balance the demands of your evolutionary process with practical concerns of life and living. At the time of the 4th of July holiday, at least as practiced in the states, you are more social than ever and full of communicative outreach, which serves to provide additional feedback for your process of renewed understanding. The Last Quarter Moon of Tuesday, July 10th, and the week that follows, provides you with further opportunities for looking more deeply into everything that has happened to you over the previous three weeks of the cycle. This especially true once Mercury retrogrades and begins to move backward through your identity sector, on Saturday, July14th. You are in some sense redefining yourself over the course of the next five weeks, since Mercury does not escape from its retrograde shadow until August 21st. You are firmer now than ever in taking a strong stand for yourself as you continue to respond to epiphanies of meaning and of determined internal intention. The New Moon of the following Wednesday, July 18th, gives you fresh energy for the arc of your forward development, which has far more outer world presence associated with it, while still remaining a largely internal process. You have an intensity regarding communication with others and with making a priority of expressing your own point of view, perhaps to shore up more firmly your own beliefs. This is logical enough considering how passionate you are about the changes that you are going through although it might pay to be aware of the potential for putting people off. With the Last Quarter Moon of Thursday, July 26th, taking place in your home and family sector, you could find some tension in that area that needs to be resolved. This conflict might also have the creative spark that you also need in order to fully explore your huge growth potential over this important monthly cycle, and on into August.
