Libra Horoscope (September 23 - October 22)
Cardinal Air. Your ruling planet is Venus.

You are in chrysalis form these days, Libra, getting ready to emerge as the new butterfly, and you may find yourself reveling in your process of transformation. You are fully energized by the world at large right now, but in your own style and your own rhythm. Concerns of the home front predominate, and you might even detect old patterns of familial interaction and self-expression yielding to the necessity for change that you are beginning to more fully perceive. Though your waters run deep at this time they come to the surface powerfully when they do. You are engaging the world from the standpoint of your own deep center, and when you do that, and do it well, you are unshakable.

As the month begins, you are looking to the future, while being very aware of the past. Partnership considerations are very much on your mind as well, for this entire monthly cycle. You are other-oriented these days, and of course the challenge is to integrate these feelings rather than allow them to take you out of your center. The New Moon that comes along at the end of the first weekend of the month, taking place on early on Monday, May 5th, is a powerful one for you, and serves to remind you of the transformational road that you have been traveling lately. You are changing at the core of your being, and profoundly, so that you will hardly recognize yourself when the year or even this current month has elapsed. Home and family considerations play a large part in the changes that you are going through, as does personal intimacy in your life. You are inordinately sensitive to the energy of close companions at this time, and seeking to find your own way through the mine fields of intention that surrounds you. With the First Quarter Moon of Sunday May 11th, you may find that you are particularly vulnerable. You are called to concepts of service to others at this time, and also to extending yourself for family and friends in a way that may threaten to compromise your own needs, or perhaps bring up old patterns of behavior that you are more than ready to discard. You can steady your ship by keeping your eye firmly on the prize of collective empowerment for you and everyone else around you. Playing the blame game only gets you so far after all, while the game of everybody wins will allow you to enter into a positive feedback loop that increases rather than decreases your energy. The Full Moon of Monday, May 19th is a time of taking stock, and of sorting through the rubbish pile of the past for whatever is worth keeping. With the Mercury retrograde in the last week of the month, beginning on May 26th, you are entering into a period of philosophical reflection that will last through the next month and on into July, and this too supports your mulling over past events for the purpose of retaining only what is ultimately worth-while for your present set of circumstances. You may be tempted to hold onto more of your personal history than is healthy but that too is part of your process and recognizing your tendencies in this area is already half or three quarters of the battle.
