Libra Horoscope (September 23 - October 22)
Cardinal Air. Your ruling planet is Venus.

This is a wild and crazy month for you, Libra, reflecting both inner and outer concerns. With the Sun in your sector of dreams, you are caught up within the interior spaces of your own mind, and yet your ruler Venus simultaneously in your sign stimulates outer form and frothy social connection. The period between September 15th and the 22nd is particularly potent, a time when you will make important connections with others and with your own deep process of intuition as well. Mercury's retrograde, beginning on the 24th and extending to nearly the end of October, throws you another curve ball, again a good period for reflection rather than for addressing strictly outer matters. But these two sides of life are equally revelatory of new insights that take you forward.

As the month begins, you are dwelling in the misty spaces behind and beyond your conscious mind, sifting through the residue of the past with an eye the present, eliminating everything that is not suitable for future progress. This is the season of dreams for you, that every year immediately precedes your birthday month. You are very sensitive to nuance at this time, and more likely to be introspective than entirely outer world oriented. It is also paradoxically a very energetic period, when you are quite social, peering out from behind your mask from time to time. The First Quarter Moon of Sunday, September 7th, enhances the paradox. You are called to action and yet simultaneously held back from full participation in it. There is a fundamental optimism that is operating deep inside you right now that will see you through in spite of everything. You will meet the challenge one way or another with the advent of the Full Moon of September 15th. This takes place in your sector of your secret intention for yourself, your discipleship to your own highest purpose for yourself moving forward. You are likely to be feeling frisky at this time, and ready to break with your own tradition. It is a revolutionary impulse that moves you at this time, and that will take you through the breakers and on out to the sea crossing that you have preparing for all this time. A week later, with the Last Quarter Moon of the 21st and the subsequent Fall Equinox, your coming out party is nearly complete, based on seismic shifts within the bedrock of your soul., More unconscious irony awaits you since Mercury is also slowing down and changing direction in your sign at this time, its actual station arriving on the 24th. You might find yourself rethinking your position after the changeover. Mercury eventually straightens out in mid-October, but takes until nearly the end of the that month to regain its lost zodiacal territory. The New Moon in your sign near the end of September, on the Monday the 29th, is certainly energizing but again, you might want to wait until after the retrograde period is past to take any decisive action.
