Libra Horoscope (September 23 - October 22)
Cardinal Air. Your ruling planet is Venus.

You are going deep within yourself, Libra, in order to discover a fuller life on the surface. To go up you must first go down. All through the beginning of this monthly period of time you are feeling mystical and vague, discontented with the physical ordeal of daily living but not sure what to replace it with. You are struggling to connect somehow with Spirit inside of you, needing to put on more divers' weights to really get you there. One phase ends and another begins at the time of the January 25th Solar Eclipse in your sector of self-expression, bringing a sense of liberation to your spelunking journey of self-discovery and a sense of purpose to ordinary life events.

As the month begins, you are deep into your core spaces, perhaps enjoying the comfort and safety of your home environment, perhaps exploring your tribal connections with family and friends. You are getting down to the root of everything, your basis for a secure footing. This is a very fuzzy and slightly confusing and also quite joyful month for you when you are exploring new dimensions of experience and seeing the deeper and more meaningful picture. You are finding the greater truth that underlies all the lesser ones, reinventing yourself in a mystical way. You might not be fully ready to go out and join a convent or a monastery, but you might feel inclined to do just that. With the First Quarter Moon of Sunday, January 4th, you are feeling the helpful influence of significant partnerships in your life as both a blessing and a pressure that needs adjustment. The Full Moon a week later, coming along on Saturday, January 10th, pulls you once more to the inside, but also gives you the impetus to dream large dreams for where you might be going with your life, this time around. You are finding that the remnants of prior achievements can slow you down and create extra baggage for you to work through but that some aspects of the past must be retained as you move forward. With the Solar Eclipse and New Moon of Sunday and Monday, January 25th and 26th, you are seriously reconstructing where you are headed and what it might take to get you there. This is an important time of reevaluation, especially since Mercury is simultaneously retrograde first in your self-expression sector and then in your sector of home and family, meaning that you can exercise your will more effectively by mulling over your possibilities and refining your objectives than by actual departures from what you had already planned. When you count the time of the retrograde shadow while Mercury is recovering its lost zodiacal longitude, this period lasts until mid-February. At that time, significant partners in your life will be entirely beneficial in helping you to see all your goals more clearly.
