Libra Horoscope (September 23 - October 22)
Cardinal Air. Your ruling planet is Venus.

This is a serious and also a joyful time for you Libra. You are in the midst of profound changes and yet hopefully still laughing, which you can take as a good sign. Reorganizing your beliefs and priorities can be a fun exercise when you allow it. Transformation is subtle and profound and comes over you in waves that are both sudden and also slow moving, like a long-term steam roller that leaves a different playing field behind it when it finally goes. You win when you recognize that the changes going on at the very core of your being inform all that you do in the outer world, and are fundamental to the continued good health of your entire personality.

As the month begins, you are connecting up with others around you to make something happen in the social setting that you find yourself in. You are in one sense all about career these days, your outer world presentation, and what can be accomplished with that. However, the inner world of your private circumstances actually supports and creates the possibilities for the outer one. If you are paying attention you will notice that a fundamental transformation in home and family concerns is looming in the background, secretly informing everything that you say and do. In some ways there is no escape. You find yourself in a pressure-cooker of change and good things will eventually come of this if you can take the heat. The Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse of Wednesday, August 5th, represents a time when you can see your way clear to an idealistic future vision, and yet when you must balance a purely blue skies viewpoint with the concrete limitations of your situation. It's three steps forward and two steps back, but your attitude at this time counts for a lot. You win when you keep your head high and stay alert to all your possibilities. The Last Quarter Moon taking place in the following week, on Thursday, August 13th, traditionally indicates a time when the drawbacks of what you are attempting become more evident and when you must abandon some part of what you were hoping to accomplish. This is even truer since the limitation represented by Saturn is strongly aspected in this configuration, so that you have another and perhaps even more poignant opportunity to rise above difficult circumstances. You are building something long-lasting and that notion will have to be your compensation for now. The New Moon taking place a week later on Thursday, August 20th, is another powerful moment in time, when you will again be pulled in at least two directions. Your sense of idealism is strong, and you have the feeling that you can accomplish literally anything that you set out to do, and this is true to a point. But the practical limits are weighing in at the very same time, and cannot be successfully ignored, both for this cycle and the one that begins mid-September.
