Libra Horoscope (September 23 - October 22)
Cardinal Air. Your ruling planet is Venus.

These days you are in the world but not of it, Libra. Partly in synch with social norms you are also partly inhabiting a dream world all your own. The recent retrograde passage of Mercury through your identity sector has kept you guessing, but the fog lifts in the second half of this month. You will emerge from your cocoon experience refreshed and more than ready to take on the world, and to assume your butterfly persona. Every road, no matter how long, has its turning and every night will eventually morph into glorious and entirely hopeful dawn.

As the month begins, with one part of yourself you are actively engaged in inner work, in the world but not of it. With another you are actually quite lively and enjoying the world of people, places and things, especially people. This is your time of the year to shine, and being very people-oriented in any case, it comes as no surprise that the shine of your presence is enhanced by the presence of others right now, and that you naturally enable others to stand out in their own light also. Your activities at this time have a strong spiritual component, so that there is an increase of intimacy all around, and most especially within your very own mind and heart. The Full Moon that comes along on Saturday, October 3rd, brings all these feelings to the fore. You are likely to be mindful of issues of self and other at this time, as you attempt to balance the onrush of energy both within you and outside of you. These are complex times, and competing agendas abound in the public sector and in your private life also. There are important consequences for your connection with home and family that emerge out of all of them, and that will become more obvious as the month draws to its close. In this regard the Last Quarter Moon of Sunday, October 11th, represents a key moment in the arc of development that you are currently following. Some degree of tension could arise, as you face the consequences of previous actions. You are attempting at this time to find the wisdom that comes from the shaping of events since the previous New Moon, and the way in which these events have shaped you. The New Moon in your sign that comes along on Saturday evening, October 17th, represents a fresh start. You are very involved at this time with the ideal persona that you imagine for yourself, and have an optimistic take on that concept. This is an illusion, true, but a beautiful illusion and it could spill over into imagining as well the perfect partner. Your enjoyment of this idea is only half fanciful, since it is possible at times for wishing to make it so. The last two weeks of the month will be spent in working out the concepts and revelations that come upon you from the first half. While dreams of glory can take you far, it is good if you can also accept the idea of change, whatever that may bring, and be prepared to accommodate yourself to the realities of your situation whenever they present themselves. That way you will never be disappointed.
