Libra Horoscope (September 23 - October 22)
Cardinal Air. Your ruling planet is Venus.

This is a huge month for you Libra, with both Saturn and your ruler Venus newly entered into your sign. You are all for relationship with others right now, as you so often are, and yet you are held back from fully experiencing it. This is somewhat painful but also beneficial for growth, portraying life more realistically, so that you are thrown back upon yourself for greater independence and a more studied self-reliance. This is a difficult passage but not an impossible one. You are saved by the knowledge that you can, at any time, relax into the arms of the cosmos that will always hold you up, no matter how much your outer circumstances might seem to indicate the contrary.

As the month begins, you are feeling the pressure of the entrance of Saturn into your sign. This took place last month, on the 21st, and represents a change in the psychic weather. You might feel both more determined and committed, and also more isolated in your very commitment. You are also still benefiting from the Cardinal T-square that strongly affects your sign as well, which is both kicking you in the proverbial butt and also in the process strengthening your character. The impulse for radical change is especially strong in terms of partnership alliances, although now tempered with an equally potent urge to stay the course and resist drastic change. Your challenge is to find a meaningful and workable amalgam between these competing impulses. The configuration that you find yourself subject to also highlights a strong desire that you have right now for emotional security. Your focus now is in large part getting a better sense of who you really are, at the level of your emotional roots. Exploring the depths of your being through meditation or some sort of transpersonal process work will also be extremely beneficial for you at this time. Although you may feel tempted to go out and achieve in the world of career and public life, for which you have a natural affinity, it is in the area of establishing a secure base of operations, and of nurturing your immediate community of friends and family, that you find your greatest fulfillment. With the New Moon of Monday, August 9th, all these issues rise to greater prominence within your psyche. It's a struggle perhaps to maintain your equanimity, but it helps to realize that the universe is holding you up, whatever it might look like to the uninitiated. You have at this time a strong impulse to find the right road for yourself to travel, and as it almost goes without saying, that road involves others as well as yourself. You are getting thrown some curve balls right now regarding significant relationships in your life, but also a great deal of joy and the power for see beyond the immediate horizon of your dreams and schemes. Your goals for the future are very much with you now, and whatever you wish for sincerely at this juncture will in time come true for you. The First Quarter Moon of Monday, August 16th, highlights these issues, and also presents further difficulties with them so that some degree of tension could arise in your process of growth and understanding. You are being tested in the level of your commitment through this crucial period. The Full Moon that follows about a week later, taking place on Tuesday, August 24th, is another powerful time of increased awareness as you more fully plunge into the paradoxes of your situation. You are operating from a very idealized place at this time, and also getting a spiritual hit of where your life might be taking you, regarded in the most important sense.
