Pisces Horoscope (February 19 - March 20)

It's a long road that has no turning, Pisces. This month you are exploring the potential for a brilliant new vision of future possibility even as you struggle to redefine your worldview and to shake off the remnants of negative conditioning from childhood that continue to whisper their bad advice into your ear. It's an old story of coming to terms with what can potentially open up for you in your life once you are willing to forgo the familiar but dysfunctional past tense of a life not fully lived. Some hard barrier, like a boulder in your path, seems to be holding you back but every instinct inside you is encouraging jailbreak. You win when you open your sails and let go.

As the month begins, you are in a complicated state, with everything inside you telling you that it's OK to go way out there into cosmic space and with also the contrary impulse to hold back and remain cautious regarding too much, too fast. You have been aware for some time now that you are in an important cycle of change from which there is no turning back. You have even felt the impulse to be wild and crazy with it, leaving the past behind with no backward look. You still have these impulses and need to honor them, but some part of you right now is also telling you to hold on and await developments. This is more than a little crazy-making, but you can survive and even thrive in these circumstances by embracing the inescapable fact that the nature of the universe is pure paradox. This is perhaps difficult to grasp when we look at things with the little mind, the logical mind, but it becomes clear when we widen our gaze to include the multitudinous intelligence that lies within us. It is important for you right now that you move your life forward and equally, it is important that you acknowledge the place where you began. The New Moon of Thursday, October 7th, gives you loads of energy for your evolutionary journey, which might include significant partners in your life right now as well as yourself. Others are there for you, and form a strong support, but you must also recognize that the final determination of where you go with the ideas and the events that are happening to you right now is entirely up to you, and to you alone. The retrograde of Venus in your sector of higher mind begins on the very next day, the 8th, and puts you in a reflective mood. Venus retrogrades for six weeks or more. This is an excellent time to journal and to mull over where you are changing and why, gathering your bearings. It is also an excellent notion to write down all that occurs to you at this time, for you are full of fundamental ideas right now and they might prove to be the foundation for the next several years of your life process. With the First Quarter Moon a week later, taking place on Thursday, October 14th, you might come up against a series of obstacles that could seem like a stymie, and a cynical attitude that you have going on with part of your mind doesn't seem intended to help; but you have a strong resolve at this time as well, and it will see you through. The Full Moon of Friday evening, October 22nd, and the weekend following, takes you into a different phase. There is a sense of completion now, and the feeling of having come through an important transition. You are still at the crux of paradoxical feelings for both radical forward movement and for cautious holding back, but these can also serve to ground your more high-flying impulses when you can appreciate the subtleties of your situation. Over the coming weeks, the ideas and the impulses for change continue to pour into your psyche, but you are better able to handle them, learning to watch and to wait.
