Aquarius (January 20 - February 18)
Your ruling planets are Uranus and Saturn.
This has been a season of riches for you, Aquarius, with only a few wrinkles to contend with. Staying optimistic has become your standard mode; lately your exuberance cannot help but show. Now, this month, you are trying hard to figure out a new belief system that enables you to make the most of your blessings and to eliminate the painful places in your persona. You are looking more closely at the way in which you show up in the world. There is a shifting of shutters and doorways within the confines of your mind and heart that will over time make manifest a new world that more closely matches your true inner vision.
As the month begins, you are feeling like you are settling into a new vision of reality that is more solid and at the very same time more ethereal and cosmically alive than anything you have heretofore experienced. There is a wildness at the very core of your being that translates into creative instability and a ferment that affects particularly the way that you show up in the world and how you seek to accomplish your assigned tasks; the productive side of your nature. You are engaged, for the most part happily, in dreaming a new world into being, and it takes your mind and your heart operating together in surprising combination. The New Moon of Thursday, October 7th, provides a great deal of additional and largely grounded energy for your quest, although there are still flashes of mystical insight in plenty that allow for you to lift your gaze to the mountain top. With the retrograde of Venus in your career sector taking place on the very next day, you are also in a meditative mood, attempting to see where your life is taking you right now, and why. There is such high idealism in your makeup now that it can border on confusion or even self-deception regarding how far your possibilities can take you. This is offset by a serious cast of mind that you also possess in abundance, limiting your choices. Learning to live with these conflicting and basically contradictory impulses is your great lesson for this monthly period. The retrograde of Venus lasts six weeks or more, and well into December when you take her retrograde shadow into account. This time will be spent at least partially in philosophical reflection on where exactly you are headed and with recording and digesting the brilliant impulses that keep arriving like a flock of carrier pigeons, each with an important message attached. The First Quarter Moon of Thursday, October 14th, might represent a few glitches in your pathway forward, but gives you also the increased determination to work through them in a mystical fashion, dancing between the raindrops. Then the Full Moon a week later on, taking place on Friday evening, October 22nd, launches you into an important weekend when the energy shifts and the pattern for meaningful change in your life suddenly becomes more clear. You are also at this time at the height of a tug-of- war between sentimentally imaginative notions of who you are and what you are about on the one hand, versus a cynical philosophical distancing of yourself from going overboard with emotion or getting too far out on a limb. You benefit at this time from honoring both of these contrary feelings in equal measure. You are on the road to integration of your energies. Your financial and other resources should serve you well over this period, and perhaps even better when Jupiter turns to direct motion in your second sector in late November.
