Gemini Gemini (May 21 - June 20)
Mutable Air. Your ruling planet is Mercury.

You are gathering your strength, Gemini. No doubt you are feeling frisky after all those weeks of deep reflection and inner contemplation, now that Mercury is returned once more direct motion, and yet some part of you is still holding back. It's like you have notched the arrow and are pulling back the bow but are trying to ensure your aim is true before you let it fly. You are refining who you are and how you show up in the world in the light of the person you can feel yourself to be at the deepest possible level of your being. That recognition eventually translates into action that will further your understanding of who you intend to become.

As the month begins, you are feeling a sober-minded connection to your developmental cycle while entertaining enlightened ideals of public service. The ideas come fast and furious together with the feeling of the necessity of translating them into some form of action. Over these next few weeks you are exploring your creative self-expression with the idea of transcending certain outmoded aspects of your personality that you are ready to shuck, but you are also feeling somewhat stuck in this process. The good news is that you are held safely in the arms of the cosmos. If you choose to ignore its mandate the message will simply repeat until you are fully ready to receive it. This is a dazzling and synchronistic time for you and for everyone that you know, when mystical realism is afoot and the old rules no longer apply. The gods of change are available to you whenever the inspiration rises within you to actually take the plunge. The New Moon of Thursday, October 7th, provides a terrific impetus for your journey toward greater integration and wholeness. You are fed at this time by idealistic visions of what life could begin to hold for you, and you are also being simultaneously held back by a excess of caution whereby one toe in the water is quite enough for now, thank you very much. Paradoxically, the contrary impulses both serve you equally, since without this balance it is easy to go off the tracks in either direction. You might need to beware of too much good faith and optimism, which at times can border on self-delusion, and on the other hand, it is no good hiding under the bed to avoid the adventures that beckon. In this to and fro, waxing and waning, you might be able to find the magical third possibility of synthesis that leads you through the raindrops unscathed. In the course of these events you will also come closer to understanding the ways that you abandon yourself as a product of received conditioning that inhibits growth and that no longer serves you in your present stage of development. The First Quarter Moon of Thursday, October 14th, tests you in all these areas, stiffening your resolve. The time has come to discriminate. If it comes down to the dire and rock-bottom crisis, you could find yourself ready to take aggressive action in order to stand your ground and stick with your process, or figuratively to die in the attempt. On the Full Moon of Friday evening, October 22nd, and over the weekend that follows, you will emerge into a place of relative calm. An almost meditative cast of mind carries you through to the end of the month. You are assessing your chances to follow through to the end of the year with a revised sense of spiritual mission that leaves the greater part of your high ideals of this period intact.
