Sagittarius Horoscope (November 22 - December 21)
Mutable Fire. Your ruling planet is Jupiter.

You are coming at the world a little differently these days, Sagittarius. You are truly the butterfly spreading new and uncertain wings after a recent period of hibernation. Your communication is visionary and inspired, and takes you into unknown inner spaces for everyone's benefit. The connections that you continue to forge with others are helping you to unfold from your chrysalis. It is a season of change that is upon you now, and you are rewarded when you make the least initiating gesture toward something new. That initial step you take is crucial even if it subsequently turns out to be in a wrong direction for as the poet says there is boldness and magic in it.

As the month begins, you are experiencing the fulfillment of a quest that is essentially spiritual, and your communicative outreach reflects this fact. You are dealing with issues of balancing self and other at this time, more or less successfully. There is a mystical fog surrounding your contacts with others that could lead you into snares of illusion or even outright deception, but on the other hand you are also embracing a practical and real-world approach to your societal connection in general, and to group activities that you currently participate in, that serves you well amidst the potential confusion of your thought process. The Last Quarter Moon of second week of the month, taking place on Tuesday, December 8th, presents you with a few bumps in your road; perhaps some conflict might come up between professional and private life or interpersonal relations might have some shaky moments. You are in a mystical place of almost psychic attunement at this time, and while the ground beneath your feet is a trifle unsteady, there is added value in terms of your connection to the universe and insight gained. The New Moon that follows one week later on Wednesday, December 16th, gives you a burst of energy for both otherworldly and more mundanely social projects. This is a terrific time for ritual magic, or for mystical writing of any kind. This is a week when you might profitably blog, or journal for yourself alone, and there will be a large dose of cosmic consciousness running through it all. This is an extremely active time for you and one that is productive of great shifts in perspective. The following week provides further excitement as the period from the Winter Solstice on Monday, December 21st to Thursday, the 24th, is an especially intense time of growth and change. You are dealing with your concept of security right now, and what makes you feel safe. There is a way that you are currently restructuring how you connect with the surrounding society in general and you are still formulating your response to this at the feeling level. Then the Full Moon eclipse of Thursday, December 31st, puts you smack in the middle of your process, kicking off your New Year. Another eclipse takes place mid-January, and the intervening period will be profound. When Mercury retrogrades on December 26th it puts you in a place of thoughtful reflection – rather than outgoing progress – that will last all through January. Since Mars is also retrograde at this time, there is a general slow-down. This is fine as long as you realize that you just will not get as much done over the next few months as you have in the first three weeks of this one.
