Sagittarius Horoscope (November 22 - December 21)

This is a big month for you, Sagittarius, as your birthday time comes around and a climactic year begins to draw to its close. This month, there are surprising developments in your home and family scene that enlighten and entertain you while also creating a certain degree of disruption to the normal flow. The information gained is well worth the trauma, but only if you keep yourself alert to the message that it brings, and take an open attitude toward yourself and others around you. Issues could also arise concerning nonmaterial versus material values, or in making necessary resources available for further self-development. You are reassessing what you require in absolute terms, as opposed to what you only feel like you want, as you continue to forge the links to a more integrated future self.

As the month begins, you are getting serious about your work, in the largest possible sense of that term. Evolutionary impulses from deep within you are rising to the surface of your psyche for your conscious mind to be able to process them. You are reevaluating your most basic sense of yourself now while relatively abrupt changes in your psychological roots, as symbolized and reinforced by home, family and tribe, reflect on transformation within you and instigate further changes at even more distinct levels. You are living your life deep within yourself right now, and yet also spreading yourself wide to the cosmos that surrounds and sustains you. The New Moon in your sign taking place on Sunday, December 5th, gives you fresh energy for your purpose. This is best used consciously to promote your own self-unfolding which is one powerful theme for you right now. There is also the distinct potential to become tangled up with others in myriad ways at this juncture, some of which would represent a distraction to your most important product right now, which is the growth of your own self-understanding and the connections that you have the opportunity to forge between outer and inner process. Relatively unconscious events are taking place all the time, and are normally shut away from your logical and consciously aware mind, but now these have a grasp on each other that is unparalleled. Confusion could arise and illusions also, regarding the type of connection that you have with others, or the communication between you. You stand as if within a hall of mirrors, and like a hero in a mythological quest who cannot trust his ensorcelled vision you do well to look to the inside and seek with your intuition for the actual outlines of the territory in which you find yourself. You are on the one hand constrained by forces of necessity to take an entirely concrete view of the matter at hand, and yet on the other you are linked through powerful dream imagination to worlds within worlds and the trick is to somehow make the crossover between these equally valid and yet antithetical experiences of reality. With the First Quarter Moon of Monday, December 13th, your situation becomes more difficult and potentially more out of control. A generally conflictive energy for you becomes associated both with long-term partners and within your other circles of connection. With Mercury now retrograde you are rethinking all your relationship patterns. There is some degree of tension in your relations with peers now and perhaps within familial and tribal realms also. It is best to constantly remain watchful; you are in danger of being mislead by your emotions, since you are not completely in touch with the unique viewpoint of your inner world which has its own say. It might serve you well to remember to let any reactivity subside before attempting to speak. The Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse of Tuesday, December 21st, is another powerful juncture. This is a day that also brings the Winter Solstice with the Sun fully entered into your resources sector, so that financial goals might well be on your mind. The impulse is there to go off in an entirely different and potentially destabilizing direction. You are not however in a good position to make drastic changes in the way that you operate until the middle of January. It is best to do research until then. The end of the year is key for you, and puts you more clearly in touch with a more vibrantly alive vision for future possibility. A real shift takes place now that leads you into a new phase after the first two weeks of the New Year.
