Scorpio Horoscope (October 23 - November 21)
Fixed Water. Your ruling planets are Mars and Pluto.

You are having the time of your life right now, Scorpio; it's a new universe out there that awaits you. Your work is not only all-consuming, but has a visionary flair to it, especially after the middle of the month. Right from the very beginning of December you are stirring up issues of self and other and settling into a spiritual connection with family and tribe. You are working hard and sometimes it feels like you are not getting anywhere, but this is wrong. Illuminating inner realities is also an important task, and one that serves you well as you head into the New Year.

As the month begins, you find yourself in the midst of an exciting time, as you begin to see your possibilities blossom that were only implied in the last two weeks of November. Your ruler Mars in your career sector indicates that you are plenty busy at the moment, full of the requirements of the outer world. Yet, in some sense, you are in the world and not of it as well; partaking of a spiritually rich inner world at the same time as you perform and frolic in the outer one. The Last Quarter Moon of Tuesday, December 8th, might give you pause, bringing a momentary spot of tension to your dealings with others and forging the wisdom of greater awareness as you look more deeply into what works for you right now and what does not in your process of growth. You have a penetrating mental capacity and communication style at this time which might get you into trouble occasionally but which also serves you well as you consider your choices in the changed atmosphere of greater knowledge. With the mid-month New Moon taking place on Wednesday, December 16th, there is a fresh burst of energy to deal with security and other issues. There is a sense of idealism that pervades your thinking now, and also a sense of bewilderment regarding what are perhaps too many choices. The energy that you are feeling at your core at this time is literally out of this world, and represents a departure from the busy-ness of the world as usual. It is wonderful and magical but there can be confusion. At the same time, on the outer levels of your being, you are very investing in actively pursuing a sense of financial gain and long-term safety. Security in the financial sense is only one part of the puzzle, and you are finding that your ideas in this connection can transform along with everything else in your life these days, allowing for the concept of discovering true security in terms of the spiritual structure of your life. The picture gets murkier with the retrograde of your ruler Mars on Sunday, December 20th. The days surrounding this event constitute a strange time when you life seems to run backwards. Mars will be retrograde well into March of 2010 but by that time you will be used to it. It is the transition that is the hardest part. The Mars retrograde, and the Mercury retrograde that follows about a week later, symbolize an introspective period of time when it is recommended that you reflect on where you have been lately in your life rather than promote new ventures. The week leading up to Christmas day is punctuated by the First Quarter Moon of Thursday, December 24th, when your communicative ventures might run awry in some way, so that you win when you pay careful attention to everything that you say. Then the Lunar Eclipse of New Years Eve, December 31st, represents another powerful time, when your outreach to others is maximized and when productive insights are born inside you. The world around you becomes more purposeful, leading into the New Year.
