Scorpio Horoscope (October 23 - November 21)
Fixed Water. Your ruling planets are Mars and Pluto.

This is a transitional month, Scorpio, in which you are debating your choices amidst a veritable sea of possibilities. You might even be getting the idea that if you stare long enough into your future you will see right through it into another existence that is both within and beyond this present one. You are subject to sudden changes in attitude that open up a vision of new worlds that seem expressly set up for you to conquer. Of course, in choosing one potential road you narrow down your chances for any other. The path you take is made by walking it. Toward month's end, when you emerge from tunnels of profound thought, you have one foot solidly on the earth and yet the other is firmly planted in the over-arching sky.

As the month begins, you are facing your future in a novel way; and that new approach inevitably involves cooperation and combination with others around you, in both a personal and a social sense. As much as you would like to go it alone, you are engaged now in finding ways that are more inclusive. Some shocking surprises have likely gone down recently, and it is beginning to dawn on you that you come out ahead when you present a united front. This is in many ways an educational period of time as the striking configurations of the summer start to take effect, and as you make your transition from a dead and rapidly receding past to an uncertain but alive future. The Last Quarter Moon of the July 4th weekend, taking place on Sunday the 4th, serves to underscore the realization that this just isn't Kansas anymore. There are things that you have attempted and that haven't worked out, and tried and true methods from past successes that you have clung to for far too long, and that now must be left behind you. On the other hand it is very freeing to abandon stultified outlooks in favor of a fresh perspective. The New Moon and Solar Eclipse of the following weekend, on Sunday, July 11th, encourages you to step out even more. There is also new energy for you to consider the entire social matrix that surrounds you as you do. Your involvement in this transition to a more social phase might last six months or more due to the incipient power of the eclipse. You could be considering travel as one way of getting yourself out there and enlarging your perspective. Any higher mind activity will also appeal such as teaching or publishing, or other involvement in education. The larger purpose behind these interests is that you expand your sphere of operation beyond the self as isolated ego, into the broader framework that societal engagement ensures. There is a revolution in your thought process now, and you win when you place yourself on the forward side of it. The First Quarter Moon of Sunday, July 18th, might represent a few bumps in the road of your progress. This is a time when you are feeling more committed to taking your power, both in word and in deed, and when you must meet head on the consequences of your actions. Rather than becoming discouraged you are likely to be revving your engine at this time and, more aware of the pitfalls and the difficulties of the terrain that you are traversing, see yourself as more fully able to compete. The powerful Full Moon of Sunday, July 25th, in the last full weekend of the month, brings all of these ideas back home. You are recognizing yourself in a new way, and acknowledging the pieces of the past that continue to haunt you as distant relics of a time that no longer fits into the realities of your present tense. There will continue to be curve balls thrown at you by a mischievous goddess but they will no longer be as scary.
