Taurus Horoscope (April 20 - May 20)
Fixed Earth. Your ruling planet is Venus.

Exploration of your roots eventually leads you to a longer-lasting sense of security, Taurus, but you must put yourself through some changes first in order to get there. You have been engaged in some deep thinking lately and that process continues. You are seeking a more compassionate involvement with the world around you, and taking an introspective stance in order to more fully explore inner as well as outer realities. Where you will emerge from the tunnel only time will tell, but you will be very glad that you at least embarked upon the journey.

As the month begins, you are riding the wave of the Full Moon from the last day of the previous month, both filled with hope and imbued with the practical concerns natural to the uncertainty of the modern world. You are getting in touch with your inner world, and your psychological roots, in a different way. You are focused on compassionate outreach to others around you, concentrating on exploring new facets of communication that take a deeply interior point of view more firmly into account. Only the path with heart will truly satisfy you at this time, but the contrary point of view regarding the power and limitations of the purely physical is also present. The Last Quarter Moon taking place on Friday, June 8th, brings these disparate ideas into sharper contrast. This may be a time of tension in striving for the ideal versus the restrictions of real-world necessity, and you may be forced to make some tough choices. A vision of the future beckons, but it may seem difficult to actualize. The Gemini New Moon that follows almost a week later, on Thursday, June 14th, is a dramatic one, and takes place in your resources sector. The ruler of Gemini is Mercury, and when Mercury retrogrades the very next day, it may potentially signal a shift in your finances. It is best not to push the river with new initiatives during this period, and you may not fully emerge from the tunnel until nearly the end of July. The Summer Solstice of June 21st and the First Quarter Moon that follows a day later, on Friday, June 22nd, also represent a major turning point in the energy of this cycle; a time when you will see what can and cannot be accomplished in what you are trying for. The major theme of this entire period lies in handling the conflict between ideal and merely mundane concerns. Don't give up on your dreams, even when they are temporarily driven underground. They will surface later on, and with even greater force, if they are fully in alignment with what Spirit has in store for you.
