Taurus Horoscope (April 20 - May 20)
Fixed Earth. Your ruling planet is Venus.

Your clock is running backwards this month Taurus. You are questioning all of your assumptions right now. Attempting to refine your idea of what truly matters to you can actually be a very good thing, especially if you face this challenge head-on and unafraid. You are digging deep within the roots of your being, rearranging family commitments and seeking the spiritual mandate that you came into this lifetime to fulfill. If compassion is the only path that makes sense to you right now, then that is the road that you must walk.

As the month begins, with your ruler Venus is recently retrograde in your sector of self-expression, you are prone to feeling more internal than usual. Rather than to any outer form of connection you are likely to be reaching to the inside for answers, plumbing the depths of your psychological make-up and seeking a true basis for security within your inner world. There also may be subtle conflicts with partners at this time, especially around the Last Quarter Moon of the 5th. These strains may arise because you yourself are going through changes, or perhaps because it is time for some differences that have been building up to come to greater conscious awareness. With the Venus retrograde taking place over the next six weeks, not really completing her transition until well into October, you are in the midst of a long drawn-out process of reassessment. The time of the Leo New Moon of August 12th is a serious opportunity for completion of one phase of this journey, and for new doors to open. At this point you may feel both electrified with transcendent possibilities and confused as to motives. You are closer than ever to accepting the unseen world all around you as an integral part of your existence, but the contrast with real-world practicality can also be more than your earth-bound mind can handle. One way to cope may be by writing down your impressions, without judgment. Meditating or intensive spiritual practice may also be indicated at this juncture. Sting's statement that we are actually "spirits in the material world" is quite relevant here, and it is only natural that acknowledging the mix can prove daunting at times. In the last week of the month, on Tuesday, August 28th, when the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse takes place in your sector of goals and future plans, you will have the opportunity to get a better glimpse of where these new-found realizations are heading. This is a time when the opportunity is there to lock in those changes that you feel are appropriate, as witnessed by your close community; a chance to take a stand for what you believe at the deepest level to be the right course of action for you. The trick is in the subsequent follow-through.
