Taurus Horoscope (April 20 - May 20)
Fixed Earth. Your ruling planet is Venus.

This is an era of celebration for you, Taurus, in this your birthday time of the year, and you are mostly just experiencing the joy of the moment. However, even as you relax into familiar feelings and look toward an expansive and creative future, you might also be taking a look behind you at some of the ways that you were controlled or controlling in the past. It could be that old patterns of behavior will arise that have outlived their relevance for you currently, in order that they receive proper recognition and adjustment. Any progress that you make with these issues will really seal the deal for the vibrant future that you have been contemplating.

As the month begins, you are full of life, preparing for the New Moon in your sign that takes place at the end of the first weekend of the month. Joy abounds, at least potentially. This is the dawning of a new and more simplistic set of ideas for future growth, fueled by the realization although life is earnest, it needn't be sorrowful. The New Moon of Monday morning, May 5th, kick-starts the week and month with loads of positive energy and the capacity to see your world from various perspectives. You may well have been undergoing a shift in your core beliefs in some way, accumulating the benefits of seeming coincidence to see your world more whole and entire. Your mind could be occupied and even somewhat obsessed with the idea of travel or other ways of entertaining a radically different point of view. If so, this month might well provide a new chapter in the unfolding drama. The First Quarter Moon coming along one week later, on Sunday the 11th, provides a few bumps in the road of your progress. You are very philosophical at this time, intent on discovering what does and does not work for you in the long run. The Full Moon another week further out, on Monday, May 19th, is a chance to see what you can make of yourself concretely, and to share with others the fruits of your recent labors. You are on a course to take you further along your chosen path, an essentially free and happy movement. You also might feel stuck in this process, as some of what you desire may prove to be unyielding. However this is only an appearance of difficulty, since what you build slowly and with attention paid to the obstacles encountered will also be long-lasting. You are quite serious about where you are going and why, and how to best occupy the center of your stage as you take your creative self-expression to another level. You are building for keeps right now, in this way and at this time of your life.
