Taurus Horoscope (April 20 - May 20)
Fixed Earth. Your ruling planet is Venus.

You are finding fresh impetus for being in the world and yet simultaneously building new bridges between your mental apparatus and the openness of existence, Taurus. You can see very clearly right now the truism that you create the universe around you with each passing moment. All in an instant, vague ideas become crystallized into concepts and then into actual hard-and-fast reality. Plans for the future make an exciting backdrop for all that you say and do, and yet change frequently throughout the month. You can't stay rigid or you'll fall unexpectedly, but your relationship with the universe works out just fine for you if you can learn to dance with it.

As the month begins, you are entering a period of real-world activity and of novel thought process with a mystical undercurrent that both connects you more deeply to the outer world of achievement and simultaneously undermines it. You are more fully aware than ever of the thinness of the veil between the worlds at this time. It's a paradox. One the one hand, the obvious manifestation of the physical world that surrounds you is only a small part of the story, so that this reality is more or less a complex and solid-seeming charade. On the other hand it's in some sense the only game in town and real or not you have to play by its rules. The reality of the hidden world all around you doesn't invalidate this one, far from it. It just means that you can only try so hard in any one direction and then you have no alternative but to relax and let the universe take over. This consciousness is very much with you as you muddle through the first ten days of the new month and year. At the time of the January 10th Full Moon, another conundrum arises by way of the contrast between the urge for freedom and expansion, no limits, versus a sense of ultimate responsibility for your every action. You feel as though everything has to count right now, perhaps toward some ongoing test that the gods and goddesses are throwing your way, and yet in another part of yourself you feel as light as air, and as little bounded and constrained. Mercury retrogrades the next day, and you enter a period of time when it pays to be more internal and calculating than outwardly forging ahead with new initiatives, but other simultaneous configurations challenge that take on things. With the entrance of the Sun into your career sector on the 19th, in conjunction with expansive Jupiter, you are very much out there in the realest of real worlds, and successfully, and yet with a mystical twist. Only the work in the world that is meaningful to your heart center will suffice to make you happy at this time. The Solar Eclipse of late Sunday night and early Monday morning, January 25th and 26th , will make for an exciting time for you. You are all go-go-go but with another part of your brain, behind the scenes, you are mulling over your situation. The Mercury retrograde lasts well into February when you consider the period of the retrograde shadow, and so you are well-advised not to leap ahead with entirely new plans until then, much as you would like to.
