Taurus Horoscope (April 20 - May 20)
Fixed Earth. Your ruling planet is Venus.

Your idealism is in full flower these days, Taurus. You are seeking unbounded access to the realm of Spirit but accepting the inherent limitations of your situation as well. You are in the process of finding your own belief system to sustain you, independent of the style and manner of a poorly constituted world view that you encounter when restricted to consensus thinking, trembling on the brink of breakthrough into a newish future that takes Spirit and depth work more fully into account. This is nothing less than the power of you as an individual to achieve self-stabilization. You are seeking the private pathway through to the world outside, finding the hole in your garden wall, as the poet says, so that you can pull yourself through.

As the month begins, you are looking under the surface of your communicative outreach for the true motivation. There are stirrings deep within you that involve a massive reassessment of the way that you see the world around you, and all your connections with others either run counter to this fundamental arc of development or else are in support. As the dust settles over this period of time, travel plans may alter as well your worldview. The Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse of Wednesday, August 5th, signals an important moment in time when you are reaching for a balance point. Career choices may be up for you at this time, but if so, they are part and parcel of a mode of existence that is more private than public in its orientation, and sees that everything includes a spiritual dimension in the mix. You are light hearted at this time and very allowing, on the one hand, but also deadly serious about taking responsibility for yourself in a new way. The trick is to mediate between these two viewpoints: the concept of perfect freedom from constraint on the one hand, and on the other being nevertheless bound by the practical limitations of your situation. By the time of the Last Quarter Moon in your sign of the following Thursday, you might feel as though something has to give. In the midst of a season of high idealism you are coming to a state of knowledge regarding what is concretely possible, and building a more solid sense of self in the process. It is certainly true that character building takes time and patience, and acknowledgement of the deficits as well as the blue-sky potentials of what you are about. This mid-month period is a paradoxical time for you, when you are stirred by hugely optimistic feelings which have also their darker side, and when practical considerations are also fully manifesting themselves that seem to directly contradict these more positive assessments. The New Moon of Thursday the 20th brings all these various elements into play once more, giving you the opportunity to see what you can make of the contrast.
