Taurus Horoscope (April 20 - May 20)
Fixed Earth. Your ruling planet is Venus.

Partnership is powerful for you right now, Taurus, and tunes you in to your most idealistic mode of being and doing. Creative conflict is productive of deep-seated changes in how you accomplish your goals. You are seeing the world around you not so much from the standpoint of what is, but rather of what it could become. This goes for you and for others as well. Domestic situations represent issues that could flare up rather suddenly, requiring adjustment. It's all good when you look at it right, and it all contributes to your growing sense that the world could be reborn differently, to the advantage of everyone.

As the month begins, you are entering yet another phase of the series of profound transformations and changes of perspective that you are currently embarked upon, balancing issues of self and other and within that balance seeking new ideals of personal evolution. Perspective shifts lately have been highlighting just where you might be able to find your true calling, but it has been hard to hear the full message. Now perhaps the time has come to move through the rat race maze in a new way. It is exciting to at least contemplate the possibilities. With the Last Quarter Moon of Tuesday, December 8th, you have in a sense come full circle. You are imagining success and that feeds on itself so that it becomes success, but the question is how you define it. It is certain that partnership with significant others is a big part of the story, and with your inner world as well. Spirit illuminates your pathway forward but it is you who must direct your steps as indicated. Freedom is a wonderful thing and as well as being a simple blessing, simultaneously creates an obligation since you now must take responsibility for yourself. The New Moon of the following week, taking place on Wednesday, December 16th, is a good time for a fresh move. You are in some sense a spiritual warrior these days, an advocate for your own unique brand of healing. This goes for others as well as for yourself, but of course you must be as clear as possible within the confines of your own mind and heart before you are truly effectively available for others around you. This is an extreme time, and calls for extreme solutions, and the moment to act is at this mid-month period, rather than later. The Winter Solstice of Monday, December 21st, provides excellent food for thought and an opening to a different way of seeing the world around you that changes everything, since vision precedes action. Then the First Quarter Moon of Thursday, December 24th, is also an intense time, when you will be tested in some way and when you are challenged to step up to the plate and see it through, no matter how difficult that might turn out to be. The retrograde of Mercury that follows the Christmas holiday make the last week of the month better suited for contemplation and preparation along the lines you have already drawn than for leaping off into new directions. The turning of the year is thus a ripe period for introspection and for reviewing and refining your vision. As astrologer Carolyn Casey declares, "imagination lays the tracks for the reality train," so that this period of introspection will eventually play out in terms of action, late in January or even into the spring. The Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse of New Years Eve, Thursday the 31st, punctuates this end-of-year period with a call for greater awareness and greater articulation of that awareness, as you move more or less boldly into an uncertain decade.
