Taurus Horoscope (April 20 - May 20)
Fixed Earth. Your ruling planet is Venus.

You are rejoicing in the spring with all your heart, soul and mind, Taurus, but not in your usual celebratory fashion. It is your inner goddess that you are honoring this time around. At the time of the Pisces New Moon from the middle of last month you got the idea of what life could be like if you would only allow it to happen. Now, in the wake of that visionary moment, you are entering a new and more introspective phase. Later in the month, as you review and re-think your past and re-shape your potential future, partners help to inspire you as you continue your evolutionary unfolding.

As the month begins, you are in the midst of a period of visioning new realities for yourself. The future is looking if not rosy at least attractive and all your ducks are in a row to move forward gracefully into a new way of being and doing in the world. Only, there are obviously many issues to be worked through in order to get to point B and, as they say, the devil is in the details. You will notice that much of your motivation at this time is coming from a sense of deep process that is not very popular in this world today of superficial concerns and sound bites over substance. At the time of the Last Quarter Moon of Tuesday, April 6th, you might find yourself questioning everything. There are difficulties that will inevitably come up for you at this time, but equally, creative sparks can fly which illuminate your rocky road forward and lend import to the climb. A subtle shift in perspective can open doors that were previously closed. You might be forced to admit that not everything that you contemplated recently will work out the way that you envisioned, but it is important to recognize all that you have gained by trying. You are thinking your way through to a new reality for yourself and it starts with mental conception that precedes actual advancement into grounded accomplishment. With the New Moon of Wednesday, April 14th, there is a tremendous impetus to move forward, and tons of idealism and even escapist fantasy available to you, but you also must consider the inherent caution of your situation in the real and physical world. One part of you says "go" and another "stop and reconsider," and the stronger force will always be the one that moves you onward. You are making important adjustments to your vision of your highest purpose for yourself and mustn't let your internal naysayers get you down. Then a few days later, Mercury stations in your sign and begins its backwards movement that lasts for five weeks or more. This period is finally over on May 28th, when you take the period of the retrograde shadow into account. Mercury stations again - changing to direct motion - on May 11th, but does not regain its lost Zodiacal ground for another two weeks. This period of time when Mercury is retrograde or still wobbly is a great time for reflecting on your circumstances and your life goals, or for journaling, not so good for making radical departures from existing plans. The First Quarter Moon of the following week, taking place on Wednesday, April 21st, is an important moment of tension within this period. You could be inclined to dispute your fate at this time, or to argue with family members, or feel out the places where what you are up to does not pan out with the inner reality of your situation. The Full Moon that comes along on Wednesday, the 28th, is another chance to balance self and other. This could also represent a time of intense introspection, as you try to figure out the ultimate meaning of things, and yet also a time of increasing confidence and centering. You win when you keep your head about you, and witness all that happens with relative equanimity, staying alert to all your possibilities.
