Taurus Horoscope (April 20 - May 20)
Fixed Earth. Your ruling planet is Venus.

This is a month of surprising epiphanies and fascinating discoveries, Taurus, but it is depth rather than outer exploration that calls to you now. You are zeroing in on your life work from the standpoint of core purpose, through a series of important wrinkles and realignments in your understanding. Toward the end of the month, family issues come alive for you as an adjunct to your own development. Higher mind activities are calling to you ever more clearly, yet something in your educational experience is quite different this time around. As you continue to reinvent yourself in many unusual ways over the course of this monthly cycle, one thing remains constant; you grow in direct proportion as you get a better handle on what your inner purpose might ultimately consist of.

As the month begins, you are integrating information into your process that is based on your own desires and needs. You are facing the reality that emanates from deep within you, and with varying success. Some truth is easier to digest than others, but truth is truth no matter how you slice it, and sometimes the only way through the maze of evasion and denial is shock therapy. You can trust that the universe is providing exactly what you need at any particular moment, even though it might not always appear to be what you wanted it to look like. If the times have conspired to put you on the spot, well then, so be it. Although you might at some point find yourself on your knees that only makes it easier to begin to pray. But you pray not for rescue but for empowerment and enlightenment. The information you require is near to hand, very near in fact; as near as your own heartbeat, when you can allow yourself the grace to tune it in. The Last Quarter Moon of Sunday, July 4th, represents one important stage of a series of wake-up calls. There is likely to be something revealed at this time, although the message is subtle. Your inner world is demanding much of you these days; perhaps even more than the outer one with its constant demands for conformist thinking that have to be thrown off for sanity's sake. That still small voice within you is speaking volumes now, and there is no point in denying its efficacy or pretending, like the persecutors of Joan of Arc, that it is all in your head. You are in essence a spiritual warrior for an important cause, just as she was in her time, and in your case the cause is your own transformative evolution. The New Moon and Solar Eclipse taking place the following weekend, on Sunday, July 11th, serves to remind you once more of this basic fact. You are coming into your power at this time by taking a novel route, one that leads down initially instead of merely upwards. Truly is it said, and especially for you at this time, that the way down and the way up are one and the same. This is because the more you feel yourself into the sorrow that is at the core of life, and accept the wounded and walled-off places within you, the faster you will heal those wounded places and begin to feel whole again, as you were when you emerged from Spirit into this life. The fresh start represented by this important eclipse configuration takes you far, and the rising tide of your progress might extend all the way to the end of the year. For the short term, you might begin to feel lighter the more you accept that change is not only inevitable but even in your best interest as you pursue your destiny along the only road that is meaningful for you. The First Quarter Moon of Sunday, July 18th, is a testing time. This is when the rubber really meets the road with changes that you are making. You might find that you continue to be challenged in ways that almost seem to force you to more fully commit. With the extremely powerful Full Moon in the last full weekend of the month, taking place on Sunday, July 25th, although it's not easy, you are finding your way home.
