Taurus Horoscope (April 20 - May 20)
Fixed Earth. Your ruling planet is Venus.

This is a time of full-on intensity that moves you closer to your spiritual purpose, Taurus. You are reaching for the happy end of the rainbow and although you might have to half-close your eyes to see the treasure that awaits you there in terms of inner goals, you are finally beginning to see how to reach them. You have spent the previous month mulling over your possibilities, operating from a largely internal standpoint as you attempt to discern the real reasons behind what you are currently up to. Mere financial reward no longer seems to cut it. Now, in this current cycle, you are reaching for the gold ring down inside yourself that represents your truest motivation.

As the month begins, you are full of a strange kind of practicality, both into and out of the physical world. Your enthusiasm is running rampant now but expressed more internally than externally. You currently inhabit a paradoxical position whereby you are fully present in the mundane sphere of events and circumstances, showing up with great gusto, and yet an important part of yourself remains not only detached but actually more fully present in some inner world of dream imagination than in the so-called real one. What remains to be solved is the productive reason behind such a concentration of your mental and emotional energy and the implications for your future. There is a way that the unconscious factors within your psyche determine a larger part of your waking life than is usually given credit for. Your intuition is powerful these days and will present you with the insights you seek, so long as you are able to remain open to these messages, perhaps in the form of dreams or active daytime imagination. With the New Moon of Monday evening, May 2nd, the crux of this energy is reached, although the days before and after are almost equally powerful, especially in terms of these mysteriously unknown parts of yourself that are less than fully conscious. You are attempting to solve the next clue for the riddle of your life's purpose, although you cannot expect to arrive at the final determination overnight, when you at least place your leading foot on the stepladder and start to climb, you might find that you are pleased by the progress created. With the First Quarter Moon of Tuesday, May 10th, you are feeling into the inherent conflicts and discerning where further course adjustments are required. Even more than before, what is most real and present for you right now is your deep unconscious process and the unseen world that underlies and determines the surface one. You find a deep joy in working within the seeming confines of your dream imagination, while in the mundane world of surface events, not so much. Your only real conflict might be with consensus thinking, which encourages you to ignore the evidence of your inner senses in favor of a more superficial logic. With the week of Monday, May 16th, and the days following, including the special time period following the Full Moon of Tuesday, May 17th, you might be more comfortable with the necessary integration. Although operating more fully than ever in the real world of events and personality, you are also accepting the unseen as at least as potent a factor, at least in terms of functioning as a determining factor in what you say and do. You are beginning to also be more consciously aware of the fundamental idealism that underlies your take on where you would like to be heading. You might also tune in, like it or not, to the influence of others on your own thought process, a process which however does – perhaps almost paradoxically – remain even more uniquely your own. The last two weeks of the month is likely to be spent in working out the implications of this powerful first half. In particular, the Last Quarter Moon of Tuesday, May 24th, is rich in realizations and in commitment to a pathway forward that more fully acknowledges the influence of Spirit on charting your future life direction.
