Virgo Horoscope (August 23 - September 22)
Mutable Earth. Your ruling planet is Mercury.

You are cheerfully engaged in traveling home for the holidays, Virgo, either literally or metaphorically. A newly constituted reliance on home and familial settings matches your deeper need for the psychological sense of security inherent in inner explorations. You may also find yourself sorting through the past. If so, don't forget to count the greater awareness gained both of who you are and of where in your life you are heading. You are changing at the core, as you have been all year, and it is there that you will find the true gold, in regeneration of self and renewed commitment to your greater journey.

As the month begins, you are spending huge psychological energy on redefining yourself and your core issues and beliefs, which you find is centered much more on unseen and unknown factors of cosmic proportion than you were formerly prepared to admit, even to yourself. The X-factor is significant partnership in your life, which could be throwing you a curve ball, especially at the time of the December 4th Full Moon. That's the time when you are stretched to your limits of understanding and also pulled deeply to the inside, perhaps to debate yourself on the true basis of your security. During this first full week of the month, a somber cast of mind that keeps returning to mulling over past events is offset by a giddy joy in new possibilities. Your situation is changing, that's for sure, but in a good way for the most part, or at least it is easy to turn your viewpoint around to the glass half full approach. The weekend that follows, of December 9th and 10th, is an exciting one, especially on the home front, where you could be remodeling or at least rearranging your dwelling space, either literally or metaphorically, with good chances for success, although the shadow of Christmas past may still be haunting you. With the Last Quarter Moon of Tuesday, December 12th, you are revising your approach in the light of new information or at least new ways to understand what you have known all along. Something is lost but something important remains, and that's where it pays you to put your full attention. The New Moon a week later, taking place on Wednesday, December 20th, is a climactic one and brings you to the crossroads. You can choose to remain behind, half in and half out of the present moment or you can embrace the change. Either way you'll be going through an important doorway into a new phase; the only question is how willingly.
