Virgo Horoscope (August 23 - September 22)
Mutable Earth. Your ruling planet is Mercury.

The beginning of this New Year makes for a wild ride, Virgo, and there's no time to even begin to sort it all out. For that, wait for next month and the retrograde of your ruler Mercury. For now, the mid-January New Moon represents a watershed time for you, when partnership ideals of a fanciful nature play to a packed house in your head and surprising revelations tell you more than you thought you could handle about the way your destiny is bound up with another's, or at least that's the illusion that you currently find yourself operating under.

As the month begins you are reaching for an intensity of experience based on recent revelations of an interior nature. The more that you come into yourself at the deeper levels the more available you are for others "out there." The Full Moon in the middle of the first week of the New Year represents a culmination of a developing attitude that is difficult to define and impossible to ignore, and that comes in the guise of relationship connection that is both unique and enlightening, and likely built upon the foundation of core level changes on your own side of the fence that have transformed your situation utterly as the old year ended. The Last Quarter Moon of the following week, taking place on Thursday the 11th, represents a new degree of self-knowledge. You are at this time more firmly invested than ever in your unfolding self going forward, and yet caught up in the story of the past as well, trying to see what part of that legend makes the most sense to serve as a basis for your future. A few days later, on the 15th, as your ruler Mercury enters your sector of discipleship to your highest purpose for yourself, you are plunged even further into the internal stew of your psychological roots and your home and family setting, which may lead you to a new set of relationship priorities later in the week. The New Moon of Thursday the 18th symbolizes another turning point in your road, another new beginning and yet another way of coming to terms with the past. You have chosen the path of ease on other occasions, and perhaps in some ways right now as well, depending on how well you deal with the information that you are continually receiving as you go through the ups and downs of this monthly cycle. The path of struggle in this present context has a lot to recommend it as well, especially in terms of the eventual reward of greater and more meaningful connection with others around you.
